TELL THEM THEY'RE NOT TRYING

I was very dissapointed by the poor kicking displayed by Morton and Grimes. What are we going to do here?

You don't have to be Einstein to see that Morton and Grimes played well on the weekend.

Sellar is interesting, I thought he was doing his job bringing the ball to the ground, he could have taken a few marks with a bit of luck last night, and if the ball was dry probably would have. I believe that with a few more games and a bit more confidence he will be ok, remember he was given the boot by Adelaide and that would have dented his confidence.

We turned the corner last night.

You may be right Robbie .Now which way are we going?

I think the right way; it appeared that the players played for each other (and the coach) the other night, there was plenty of encouragement and they genuinely seemed like they wanted to win, no they actually really wanted to win.

I think Clint Bartram summed it up the other day in his Age interview, he no longer wants to just get a game every week and play AFL football, he wants success and I think he was talking on behalf of a lot of the other players. That is one of the most significant things i have heard a Melbourne player say for many, many years.

For those of you asking after the game Neeld sceamed 'Tell them to get Moloney off NOW' on Saturday night.

They just showed it on AFL360. It was Beamer for sure.

Yep, you're right. What had Beamer done?

Yep, you're right. What had Beamer done?

Took a snap at goal and missed, instead of handpassing over the top to Dunn in the goal square... (I think)

  • PREVIEW: Richmond

Who would have imagined, when the season kicked off early last month, that Melbourne would emerge from the opening six weeks with wins over both Queensland powerhouses? Yet here they are, banking those scalps alongside home victories over two traditional Victorian rivals and building a quietly impressive resume.
