hardtack 11,107 Posted April 4, 2012 Posted April 4, 2012 Was Leigh Williams training with the main group and if so, was he looking sharp? I notice that he will debut at Casey this weekend.
satyricon 267 Posted April 4, 2012 Author Posted April 4, 2012 I complimented Leigh Williams on how good he looked physically (did it without blushing as well!), he looks completely dfferent to the rather boxy shape I saw in October, he did the whole session including a drill where the forwards were the backs, really looking fwd to having a run...he tweeted the same..... Jamar looked ok again did the whole session, but like a few others Trengove, Grimes, come to think of it all the leaders had serious game day faces....I reckon last Saturday really really hurt, but we have another 21 games to go and that is in the past
La Dee-vina Comedia 17,137 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Bailey played him as a mid. Came very close to ending his career. Actually, Bailey played him as a mid, as a defensive forward, as an attacking forward, in defence and in the ruck. Dunn has been unable to find a spot to claim as his own so will more than likely end his own career.
dee-luded 2,959 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Un shaven, about 198cm high, approx 104kg, Late 20,s HaHaHa.... Is this him, he has had a Pre Season >
Guest Deefence Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Magner has a nerve in his ankle he pinches occasionally. It just needs to be massaged and he's right to go again. Not a big issue, but just needs to be monitored during a game.
cowboy_from_hell 2,390 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 hate to ask but did Morton train well?
Roost It 1,434 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 hate to ask but did Morton train well? Trained the absolute house down. Marked beautifully, ran like a gazelle, hit targets lace out, was high fiving superbly and even snagged a goal from 60 on the boundary whilst standing up in a Mitch Clark tackle after fending off Jones, Moloney and Frawley. Neeld said he hasn't seen such a good escape since jason misfud held his job earlier in the week.

satyricon 267 Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 Even though I loved the Roost It answer and I would like it to stand, actually he was quite good, I get a bit frustrated with him at times as well, I go to training and being a shy and retiring type I have had a couple of good natured goes at him, but he looked ok yesterday, my personal opinion of him, as a junior I think he found footy all too easy, but now struggles at times with what is required of him, he is a gifted footballer, just doesn't know where the permanent on switch is........ would assume Neeld will ensure he knows where the door is at the end of the season if need be just as a complete left field by the way, there was a young skinny kid training with the group yesterday, had a sweet left foot on him, was told he was from the AIS squad, hope we are looking at thim
The Big Ticket 94 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Bailey played him as a mid. Came very close to ending his career. I would argue that that move saved his career (well prolonged it for a few years at least). Couldn't get into it playing in the forward line, Bailey switched his role to a tagger so he could work on his defensive game. Shut down some quality mids (Harvey, Watson, Pearce to name a few). Then went forward in the second half of 2010 and finally got some real consistency going, kicking bags of 3-4 regularly. Done [censored] all since obviously but it will be interesting to see how he goes under Neeld. Good to hear these training reports too, sounds like the boys want to get on with business.
