Great game. Curry & Harden going head to head.

Bogut with the quote of the year.

Sometimes I want to crack open a beer and get a courtside seat. These two guys are the two best basketball players in the world

Thought Atlanta were going to pinch it today. Luckily LeBron came up big in OT. One win away from the finals but really struggling with injury but so are the Hawks. Hopefully if the boys get through the NBA does not move the Finals forward as Kyrie etc will need the extra time to get right.

Did it easy in the end ... unless the Rockets can perform a miracle, the final against the Warriors could be a classic.

It was the predicted match-up a long way out but nevertheless, it's been an eagerly anticipated match-up all the same. LeBron is looking great but Golden State has the mvp in Curry.

I reckon we'll see at least 6 games in the final - hoping all the games are close from my point of view (as a neutral) ... a game 7 would be ideal too.

Maybe I've got my rose coloured glasses on (or maybe green and gold coloured would be more appropriate) but I can't help but think that Delly has got a serious role to play defensively against Curry (or Thompson). His defensive pressure has been outstanding so far in the finals.

If the Warriors get through then it's a no lose situation for Aussies. Bogut or Dellavedova. Patty Mills was vital for the Spurs last championship, so I wonder if either of our 2 will bob up for some game changing performances.

Pumped for this. Key is to get back to Cleveland no worse than 1-1.

It's going to be a struggle for the Cavs now. Irving out with a fractured knee cap, 1 of the big 3 remain. Of course that means we'll see a lot more of Delly, so silver lining and all.....

It's a big ask now isn't it? ... the Cavs just have to win tomorrow to get into the series.

For that to happen it'll probably need a monumental performance from James, all the same. Maybe 1 or 2 of his teammates can step it up - that needs to happen as well.

Not sure how we won today. Should have never got to overtime. Back to Cleveland at 1-1 so still some hope.

Cleveland have turned both games into scraps with James being a domineering force. With the next 2 games being in Cleveland the series could go either way now.

I still expect Golden State to hit their straps and win the series but the Cavs are playing very good defence even without Love & Irving ... we can probably expect more of the same. Game 2 was a fascinating match.

My guess is we'll go back to Oakland with the series tied 2 all.

Cleveland rocks

Matty is the talk of America today and the Cavs are just willing themselves over the line ... however, Curry found his range in the 4th quarter and there's still a lot to be played out - LeBron has been superb.

The vital 4th game coming up on Friday (our time) ... you almost feel it could be the defining game now - either the Cavs go 3-1 up or it's all square heading back to Oakland. A more than fascinating series so far.

Well done to the Warriors I guess. Extremely disappointed but it was always going to be tough without Kyrie or Kevin Love.

I'm a bit disappointed too. Not so much because of the result, but due to Bogut not really having an impact in the Finals.

Still, the future is looking bright for Aussie's in the NBA.

It seemed to be more a match-up issue with Bogut ... also, the way Kerr designed his team to beat the Cavs, Bogut became surplus to that design. He certainly aided in a big way to getting the Warriors to the playoffs though so he fully deserves his championship ring. He also did quite well in games 2 & 3 against the Rockets in the conference finals.

The Warriors seem to have a team that can get back to the final too - Thompson, Green & Curry have just hit their prime and on an overall basis, they've got a very good roster with excellent flexibility. The issue for them is always going to be the strength of the Western conference.

... anyway, the league is soaring ... NBA salary cap projected to hit $108 million in 2017

Ok my first time in here I'll try and keep it short. I'm a massive Minnesota vikings fan and I used to be a big pacers fan due to reggie miller but after he and the rest of all those 90's icons retired I lost interest. I listen to a lot of Minnesota radio and after watching the playoffs I'm finding my interest again and I'm on the T-wolves. So we have wiggins and another 1 pick. So I'm hoping for more then 16 wins next season. I was spewing the cavs didn't win but at least bogut has a ring.

Gotta love how the Knicks are going. Phil Jackson says he has done a great job as GM and the reaction at the draft was priceless. Is New York slowly turning into the sporting version of Cleveland? The Yankees had their day and now the jets, giants and Knicks are struggling.

73-9? The Warriors can do it

... and 2 more wins to equal the best start by an NBA team.

A great team to watch and their next 3 are vs Chicago (today) then @ Denver followed by a home game vs the Lakers. Curry is just playing gang-busters and seems unstoppable.

In the end we end up with the finalists that were the predicted long range finalists (Warriors vs Cavs)

Great comeback by Golden State vs OKC and they might end up winning it all again ... should be a top series though.  Hard to see the series not go at least 6 games but if it decided in 6 games then I reckon Golden State will prevail.

LeBron is going to need some real help from Love & Irving if Cleveland hope to win ... 6 finals in a row for James too.

Yeah, watching game 7 live was immense.  Sport at it's finest.

Though it's a team sport, the championship will be seen as a LeBron James triumph.  The first team to win it after being 3-1 down too.  That 73-9 regular season record that the Warriors set might be remembered for the wrong reasons.

I actually watched it delayed and avoided the result, but jeez those last few minutes were tense. So many shots missing short and you couldn't pick a winner. It was fitting for Cleveland due to Lebron's efforts, he had to step up his game to that level in order to win. That and Kyrie solidly beating Curry over most of the series.

There were a number of Demonland Trackwatchers at Gosch's Paddock this morning to bring you their observations from Preseason Training. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS They were going hard at each other. The sims were in two 15 minute blocks. The second block finished a few minutes early, they gathered and had another 7 minutes at it. I think they were asked to compete, as they would play against an opposition. There was plenty of niggle, between some of them. At the end o

Better late than never … and quite frankly, there’s very little to report other than that training took place at Casey Fields this morning, that Tracc was there nursing his rib injury and that some photographs are on the club’s social media including this one of Clarrie in Raging Bull stance that gives rise for confidence. The other news is that the club has a new train on player in 185cm Dandenong Stingrays midfielder Noah Hibbins-Hargreaves (love the hyphenated name which is just so fitti

Welcome back to Demonland for those like me who have been on vacation. I’m posting this with some trepidation because of a certain amount of uncertainty surrounding the return of preseason training in 2025 after a flurry of weddings including those of our coach, one of our superstar players and a former premiership champion player and bloke, not to mention the recent mysterious incident that occurred on the Mornington Peninsula.  I believe that the team reassembles this morning at Casey Fie

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to
