You remind me.

How hard is it to get it right?

Personally i think it was right (light weight version) between 1998-2000..but since then it has been tinkered with regularly

My '88 wool Jumper is the right colour

i am still waiting to buy a newbie....

Still not happy with the Red yolk on our jumpers.

Looks more Pinkish maroon, rather than the real blood red it should be.

thank u - i thought i was the only one- and as such going colour blind..

but yes there is a [censored] up somewhere-

i remember last years jumpers were commented by club as a mess up by "new balance". who had a problem with getting dye colour right.

but- a simple exercise is to compare the colour of socks to the yoke- by freeze frame & compare!!..

i thought the last years song needed to be changed to -every heart beats true for the pink & the blue..

after the new gear the team coaches &players were donning this year, which is terrific & correct colour blood red.

fantastic looking & stylish !!( unlike last years light red rubbish ),,

i thought correct jumpers would follow- but na.

still the same ..manufacturers need to be given the big A..

how hard can it be -

notice melb. is the only club EVER to be stuffing around with different shades..( ie; the old lighter blue )

good grief !!!

I think you'll find the Bullies and a few other clubs played around with their colours, esp with the widespread televising of footy

Erm, the Saints went from black, red and yellow to black, red and white IIRC.......

And then there are the horrible sky blue guernseys from both Carlton and North in recent years.......

Mrs. Redleg hates it and her husband agrees. Awful.

not counting alternate away strips !!!!!

( permanent change in 1915 due to germany colours being the same )

since 1915 ,their home strip ALWAYS is & ALWAYS will be b-r-w.

or promotional strips for goodness sake...ie; 1 or 2 off ;( light blue carlton strip was for money M & M PROMO.-GOT BIG $$$ FOR )

shorts r irrelevant....

talking about traditional HOME strips here used for the "WHOLE SEASON "

Here is a great website that shows Jumpers (hate 'strips', it's not soccer) worn by every club.

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
