You and I differ on the cause and effect but what do you reckon the losing margin would have been the players disliked Bailey and discovered he was about to be reappointed?

250 points?

It's just that I'm trying to work out the bounds of possibility for GWS when their players get jack of Sheedy in the latter part of 2012.

300 points is 50 goals - that's a stretch even for that game.

It's all guess work though isn't it. Your presuming a lot of things ....

How many sleeps was it till the footy starts?

I guess nobody at the AGM asked what we intend to do with the compo picks..?

I think , they may gain a recruiting Manager at first. I think the compo picks will be looked at more closely around June/July based on our position on the ladder and the quality of the Under 18's at National comp.

Is there a better person to be President of the MFC right now?

I do not know that answer. So until there is a better person i am more than happy for Mclardy to be in the position. Since 2008 this club has got bigger and more in tune with it's business environment. The road is rocky, but it will get better.

By the way i do not consider Garry Lyon an egomaniac media performer. Garry is a past captain and champion of our club. Your view of Garry is insulting.

Of course there is, they need to be found and soon

I loved Garry as a player but he is an egomaniac media performer. If he wants to be part of the club then sign up or back away. This is not a part time business and the move showed our weakness at the top, hence my point re the president.

Garry is part of the MFC every morning when his back pain greets him. People are allowed to choose what they do in life. Garry will still be involved with the club via a mobile phone. You are being disrespectful.

As for President, who should it be??

Don't be shy now..you have knifed Mclardy, so who takes the chair??

  • REPORT: Collingwood

The media focus on the fiery interaction between Max Gawn and Steven May at the end of the game was unfortunate because it took away the gloss from Melbourne’s performance in winning almost everywhere but on the scoreboard in its Kings Birthday clash with Collingwood at the MCG. It was a real battle reminiscent of the good old days when the rivalry between the two clubs was at its height and a fitting contest to celebrate the 2025 Australian of the Year, Neale Daniher and his superb work to bring the campaign to raise funds for motor neurone disease awareness to the forefront. Notwithstanding the fact that the Magpies snatched a one point victory from his old club, Daniher would be proud of the fact that his Demons fought tooth and nail to win the keenly contested game in front of 77,761 fans.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.
