Sadly, you don't know when you make them B59, and you will always turn agressive when someone pulls you up on something. Have a good day.

Yep, But before the top up players we need to chase Boak and/or Salopek, or other maturely built experienced players.

1. You shot down a poster in this thread giving you a list of names that were under your age requirement, then a different poster mentioned the name of a 22 year old, which you agreed met your criteria. Then when you were pulled up on it, the best you had was that next year he would be 23. Trying to use anything you can to make yourself look like the smart ass (as per normal).

2. Your initial posts on the Petter thread were totally incorrect. While this is an opinion thing to some degree, your constant ranting about Political Correctness is totally incorrect. Telling someone you are going to take their mother somewhere and rape them, doing this on 2 occasions, it in far from politically incorrect. What it is is out right disrespectful and has know place in society in general, let alone on a football field (which you seem to think is fair game).

3. Your constant opinion, an you're not on your own here, is regarding Mr Scully. You are certain that he is going to GWS, with absolutely no facts to back you up. In 6 weeks you may be right, but in the mean time, anything you say is complete rubbish (like most things on the Scully threads). When I asked you to come out with a simple Yes or No regarding him staying, you, which is typical, sat on the fence, trying to protect yourself just in case he stays.

1) My OP to this tthread commented upon the more mature or thereabouyts.. The names proffered except for one were under the age. That was the context. Do you get that ?? probably not. Mohr whilst curently 22 will actuall be 23 at or around the time of any drafting this year. So fall entirely within thecontext of the OP. That was entirely the premise of this thread, that maybe the club looked to a matured player, as he is.The others inth emain were players already at this club when younger..theres actuiallyu a point of difference. Probably a big hard for you to grasp.

2)You have your opinion aboutth Petterd incident.. others have a differing one. At no time did I suggest it was laudable only that there was no vilification of the type the mass hysteria ( you included bought into. There was however a nasty comment made and that is one which I would imagine McGinnity would be most sheepish about. You like many dont get subtle differences. Sledging is sledgiing. Possibly distasteful but he did not walk up to Petterd's mum and vilify her.

3) dont like my thoughts on Scully or such..well suck it up princess.. What many of us here have shown is that all is not quite as many would have it appear. When shown differing situations and comments that dont sit well with the "Boy said this..etc " brigade you and many get all shirty, invoking some yet unknown constraint that nothing but abject purity must emit from those put on pedastals. Others like to construct from overview.

enjoyed your lilttel rant Billy Boy ?

care to return to the subject of the thread?

if not..PM me.. PM who the %4# you like..

You know what we should do?

Look at the state leagues! Get some ready made players in their prime.

Oh, rpfc, you've done it again!

Oh, rpfc, you've done it again!

What a brilliant idea!! No club has ever thought of that. You should start a new thread on it.

You dont understand the issue. *Cringe*

you know what ? I reckon there must be some untapped mature players out there in the SANFL, VFL & WAFL that have missed the drafts. we should check the QAFL, NSWAFL and NT while we are at it. Rookie them and bring them on...oh wait a second..

Tim Mohr - Casey Scorps

Age 22 195cm 98kgs Tall KP Defender. On the radar for GWS? and other Clubs. Very strong and had a very good year. Gotch rates him as the most improved player on the list.

I saw Mohr playing for Casey a couple of years ago and he looked pretty good, I wondered at the time why he wasn't on some club's list. IIRC he was playing in the ruck at the time and was a hard at it type.

  • PREVIEW: Collingwood

Having convincingly defeated last year’s premier and decisively outplayed the runner-up with 8.2 in the final quarter, nothing epitomized the Melbourne Football Club’s performance more than its 1.12 final half, particularly the eight consecutive behinds in the last term, against a struggling St Kilda team in the midst of a dismal losing streak. Just when stability and consistency were anticipated within the Demon ranks, they delivered a quintessential performance marked by instability and ill-conceived decisions, with the most striking aspect being their inaccuracy in kicking for goal, which suggested a lack of preparation (instead of sleeping in their hotel in Alice, were they having a night on the turps) rather than a well-rested team. Let’s face it - this kicking disease that makes them look like raw amateurs is becoming a millstone around the team’s neck.

  • CASEY: Sydney

The Casey Demons were always expected to emerge victorious in their matchup against the lowly-ranked Sydney Swans at picturesque Tramway Oval, situated in the shadows of the SCG in Moore Park. They dominated the proceedings in the opening two and a half quarters of the game but had little to show for it. This was primarily due to their own sloppy errors in a low-standard game that produced a number of crowded mauls reminiscent of the rugby game popular in old Sydney Town. However, when the Swans tired, as teams often do when they turn games into ugly defensive contests, Casey lifted the standard of its own play and … it was off to the races. Not to nearby Randwick but to a different race with an objective of piling on goal after goal on the way to a mammoth victory. At the 25-minute mark of the third quarter, the Demons held a slender 14-point lead over the Swans, who are ahead on the ladder of only the previous week's opposition, the ailing Bullants. Forty minutes later, they had more than fully compensated for the sloppiness of their earlier play with a decisive 94-point victory, that culminated in a rousing finish which yielded thirteen unanswered goals. Kicks hit their targets, the ball found itself going through the middle and every player made a contribution.

  • REPORT: St. Kilda

Hands up if you thought, like me, at half-time in yesterday’s game at TIO Traeger Park, Alice Springs that Melbourne’s disposal around the ground and, in particular, its kicking inaccuracy in front of the goals couldn’t get any worse. Well, it did. And what’s even more damning for the Melbourne Football Club is that the game against St Kilda and its resurgence from the bottomless pit of its miserable start to the season wasn’t just lost through poor conversion for goal but rather in the 15 minutes when the entire team went into a slumber and was mugged by the out-of-form Saints. Their six goals two behinds (one goal less than the Demons managed for the whole game) weaved a path of destruction from which they were unable to recover. Ross Lyon’s astute use of pressure to contain the situation once they had asserted their grip on the game, and Melbourne’s self-destructive wastefulness, assured that outcome. The old adage about the insanity of repeatedly doing something and expecting a different result, was out there. Two years ago, the score line in Melbourne’s loss to the Giants at this same ground was 5 goals 15 behinds - a ratio of one goal per four scoring shots - was perfectly replicated with yesterday’s 7 goals 21 behinds.
This has been going on for a while and opens up a number of questions. I’ll put forward a few that come to mind from this performance. The obvious first question is whether the club can find a suitable coach to instruct players on proper kicking techniques or is this a skill that can no longer be developed at this stage of the development of our playing group? Another concern is the team's ability to counter an opponent's dominance during a run on as exemplified by the Saints in the first quarter. Did the Demons underestimate their opponents, considering St Kilda's goals during this period were scored by relatively unknown forwards? Furthermore, given the modest attendance of 6,721 at TIO Traeger Park and the team's poor past performances at this venue, is it prudent to prioritize financial gain over potentially sacrificing valuable premiership points by relinquishing home ground advantage, notwithstanding the cultural significance of the team's connection to the Red Centre?
