Jurrah wants to kick a bag. Dees 8-4-52 Port 4-4-28.

Relax on Scully for gods sake, how many other second year players cop a heavy tag like Kane Cornes? Would like to see how Trenners handles that.

Jtren is a gun

Someone please give me a positive on Morton. I'm really starting to struggle on why he is in the side

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Port run the length of the ground for a goal. Dees 8-4-52 Port 5-4-34.

Sylvia...would've been goal of the week. Three bounces down the ground, behind from 50. Dees 8-5-53 Port 5-4-34.

Jurrah has been super, wants to put on a show

Debatable. Good goal from Petterd if it wasn't touched. Dees 8-6-54 Port 5-4-34.

What could that umpire have heard? Hand on ball? Hand on boot? Since when did umpires pay those 50/50 touched balls?!

can someone tell Darcy that liam comes from 1500ks south of Darwin?

Umpires are doing their best

Umpire just got talked into a 50 by the PA player. Asked Tom to come back on the mark and then almost instantly paid a 50.

Now umpire gives free kick in front of goal just before half time.

14 points in it, gee we are ordinary.

Goal to Gray from a push in the back against Nicholson. 91 seconds left. Dees 8-6-54 Port 6-4-40.

Thats what happens when you play in Darwin. They send their shittest commentator team up to cover the game.

Jurrah kicks a third just before buzzer. Needed that.

Frawley is killing Schulz and informing his next of kin via text. Jurrah goals from a good mark. Dees 9-6-60 Port 6-4-40.

Can't believe this game has come after the bye, not before. It's painful watching them play out there. Any kind of win is a good win up there, even against total rubbish like PA. And a win next week would be pretty much miraculous after this.

Half Time

Melbourne 6-2 9-6-60

Port Adelaide 2-2 6-4-40

Goals: Jurrah (3), Petterd, Maric (2), Jones, Nicholson

Disposals: Moloney (16), Sylvia (15), Green, Gysberts, Tapscott (13), Trengove (12)

Jurrah kicked our three goals that quarter. Sylvia was awesome.

We are eembarrassingly poor when looking at the opposition. Really disappointing quarter that one.

It's not possible that Port are still running hard but we're already exhausted.

St Kilda winning tonight makes this game even more important. We have to win and win well.

  • PREVIEW: Carlton

Good evening, Demon fans and welcome back to the Demonland Podcast ... it’s time to discuss this week’s game against the Blues. Will the Demons celebrate Clayton Oliver’s 200th game with a victory? We have a number of callers waiting on line … Leopold Bloom: Carlton and Melbourne are both out of finals contention with six wins and eleven losses, and are undoubtedly the two most underwhelming and disappointing teams of 2025. Both had high expectations at the start of participating and advancing deep into the finals, but instead, they have consistently underperformed and disappointed themselves and their supporters throughout the year. However, I am inclined to give the Demons the benefit of the doubt, as they have made some progress in addressing their issues after a disastrous start. In contrast, the Blues are struggling across the board and do not appear to be making any notable improvements. They are regressing, and a significant loss is looming on Saturday night. Max Gawn in the ruck will be huge and the Demon midfield have a point to prove after lowering their colours in so many close calls.

  • REPORT: North Melbourne

I suppose that I should apologise for the title of this piece, but the temptation to go with it was far too great. The memory of how North Melbourne tore Melbourne apart at the seams earlier in the season and the way in which it set the scene for the club’s demise so early in the piece has been weighing heavily upon all of us. This game was a must-win from the club’s perspective, and the team’s response was overwhelming. The 36 point win over Alastair Clarkson’s Kangaroos at the MCG on Sunday was indeed — roovenge of the highest order!

  • CASEY: Werribee

The Casey Demons remain in contention for a VFL finals berth following a comprehensive 76-point victory over the Werribee Tigers at Whitten Oval last night. The caveat to the performance is that the once mighty Tigers have been raided of many key players and are now a shadow of the premiership-winning team from last season. The team suffered a blow before the game when veteran Tom McDonald was withdrawn for senior duty to cover for Steven May who is ill.  However, after conceding the first goal of the game, Casey was dominant from ten minutes in until the very end and despite some early errors and inaccuracy, they managed to warm to the task of dismantling the Tigers with precision, particularly after half time when the nominally home side provided them with minimal resistance.
