No we play man on man???????

Trust Watts to start coming to the fore in a flogging. Also, no wonder we don't get Friday night/round opening games often. I probably enjoyed the second half against the hawks more. Eagles are just toying with us, all the BS fancy crap is working for them and we can barely keep our feet.

Good luck on 40K dees.

Nights like tonight makes me think we took Watts and Cook instead of Natanui and Darling.......

Darling might not have been a 'nice' guy but maybe the problem is we have too many 'nice' guys...

We need some mongrel...

I've been a Bailey supporter but this is impossible to defend...

Nope never mind

Well looks like its all Sunday twilight games again next year - we sure aint ready for prime time.....

where is Melbourne?? consistently outmaned.. out numbered.. ...whats going on ?

What sort of odds can I get on the wooden spoon tonight?

Get that pale, weakling, whimpering, underdeveloped, white Ethiopian Morton off, and get the Mo on!!

First laugh of the night. Off to GWS I suggest - there may be some recruiters stupid enough to believe there is this perceived potential still there.

Best thing about tonight is seeing that RACV girl.... Or AAMI

Edited by Clanger King

Dont know what to say......feel gutted.

Feel sorry for my 10 year old son,"I thought we were gonna be better this year dad"

Im sick of defending us.

I dont want him to suffer like i have the last 40 years.

We need to make a statement, no more talk.

No more "potential".

Sack Bailey and all his assistants, keep Viney, get an actual backline coach, not a loser bulldogs midfielder.

Im done..........sigh....

And I blooded my 3 year old boy only three weeks ago.

He knows not the pain, disappointment and embarrassment that awaits from following this insipid football club.

...sigh indeed.

can we have them wednesdays..no on e needs to go or notice then !!

Yep I know the one B)

Changes for next week, Bailey our Todd Viney in. I don't give a &$@? what anyone says, Bailey has done nothing but sack half the side and lose games, the drafting of the players isn't even his call.

Bailey OUT

Viney IN

Watts deserved a goal. Good on him. Yep, days like this make me think of names like Hurley, Rioli, Martin, Darling... Carn Jurrah.

Anyone else noticed we have not switched the play ONCE tonight?! Why the f#*k not?! We are out-maned in every contest, there must be players somewhere...

That's far more than enough - Bailey was the wrong appointment nearly 4 years ago - time for the club to be ruthless and salvage something for the future!

its just been too easy for the Eagles. A gutless display by our rabble. A total shambles this team has become !!

Can Grimes and Trengrove just keep kicking it back and forward to each other? My dream team would be very thankfull.

Why aren't we playing like we did last year when played on at just about all costs ala like against Sydney last year.

At least that was a plan.

Also, I know the umpires haven't cost us tonight because we have been so woeful, but they are a disgrace I hope the AFL spend 250 million of their 1.25 billion on employing some professional umpires who have some idea about what they are doing.

Good night all..

actually we have ,....but its been jumped on and hurt us...and so goes the night !!

What can Bean Dailey possible say about this?

Week off?

No injuries?

West Coast will be vying for Premiers?

Blame our players?

What is he going to do?

This is a disgrace...

Didn't we win the 2nd quarter? I'm sure he'll hang his hat on that...

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
