I've already got that in. And I'm using your final 6 method.

Thing is, should we do 18 rounds (2 games against each team) or 21 (same as 18 with three extra random games)?

Play each other twice in my opinion if you want to run with a fixture.

Think that's the way to go, 18 rounds then start our finals.

Did I accidentally type Malceski?? I meant to type Gary Rohan, we can fix that up, right? :)

I've already typed all the formulas for 21 rounds though. Besides, with 18 rounds and 3 week finals, there's 3 weeks missing.

Talking about the formulas, the spreadsheet's nearly done. I'm going to make the captains worth double points too - if you didn't select a captain I chose the player with the best leadership experience - for example, with Deez Nutz I chose Sam Mitchell, because he has been the longest reigning captain out of the 18. (I picked him over Gary Ablett, mind you :))

Nice work eth. Would it be difficult to run both systems. Ie. DA's team v team and an overall points system? My understanding is that both require the same info (points per player)

I'm already running both, the ladder features a 'points for' category - I had to include that to do the percentage.

Will post screenshots when I'm completely finished.

Double post...

fixture.jpg

Here's a little bit of the fixture. Each of those zeroes redirects to...

90543006.jpg

...this. The weekly scores are added up here in different sheets (R1, R2, R3 etc.) and the formulas shown in the top of the first image grab that and put it in the fixture.

ladderbg.jpg

Finally, the ladder. It says #DIV/0! because there's no scores in yet :P

I should give this to my IT teacher for bonus marks...somewhere.

A lot of effort put in, which is great...

But what is the point?

My understanding is that most teams will miss players accruing points due to injury, & with no emergencies, this will create an imbalance.

The best performed team could get that mantle purely by the luck of having the least injuries, even if it is the "worst" team.

No?

The point is that considering there's no way to actually get these players to compete in a 10 team league, Supercoach s as close as we're going to get.

And injuries are bad luck and will happen to everybody, some worse than others. It happens in the AFL as well.

Anyway, I'm computer savvy, so it didn't take too long. Most of my time was spent on Facebook.

You need luck to win a flag, this is no different.

It's just for a bit of fun and bragging rights. Except if I win, then it was totally serious and proves how awesome I am.

Just a bit of fun KS. Besides, I'm sure e25 will be 100% supportive of it. He may even get bragging rights if his side is any good. ;)

Great job eth38.

DA, is this what you had in mind much earlier in the thread ?

Okay, just re-doing some stuff that I missed since the last save, and I've got all the scores excluding the game currently in progress.

I can tell you guys two things - it's low scoring (1100 seems to be an average score) and my team's having an absolute shocker. I'm missing Harbrow, Drummond, Pears, Hodge, Gilbee and Byrnes.

Where's Baghdad Bob, e25 & Co. with their assumptions that Dean Cox has had it !? One of his best games ever! BOG.

Try some humble pie.

Thought my team could score a bit more than a paltry 1500-odd.

Will have to improve next week....

No Chapman, no Ablett and team-mates taking each other out of the game early in Rance's hit on Waite, things could have gone down a lot differently. And Sherman as a sub for Footscray? Shocking call and can certainly say that was one of the many reasons why the Doggies got flogged today, the old 'Rocket' is certainly not synonymous with 'premiership'.

Eth, love your work, doing a great job. Are there captains in this thing? If so, Dane Swan is my guy.

Thanks mate. I've got Sam Mitchell as your captain solely for the fact he's the most experienced in terms of leadership in your 18.

I'm not going to change it unless your opponents think it's OK for me to change it - you didn't list a captain originally, I'm aware of that :)

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin
