lol. Looking at 49ers today and Seattle on Thursday humiliate the Packers who are a legitimate SB threat.... I will be picking the Hawks with confidence.

You can join anytime, Dappa ... details page 81 of this thread (first post) It's fairly basic - 3 tips only ... all have to be road teams and if you get all 3 right, you get a point for that week (we also have bonus weeks) .... Page 81

Only problem is ... it's damn near impossible to get a point! Bit of fun though, all the same.

Faaantastic. Ok. I'll go for round 2. Just put up your picks on a regular post?

Nah. They're weird games. Both sides go all-out and they end up being really tough games. We were going great guns then we ran into the Niners at the 'stick last year and it turned into a grind-fight with the Niners just getting up.

I'll take Seattle every day in Seattle as Kaepernick can't play in noise, but at Levi's...going to go Niners.

I wouldn't count Arizona out. They did win in Seattle last year. I think they will get the Wildcard spot and cause some damage in the playoffs.

Yeah. 16-0 is almost impossible. And yeah that's good to know for my tips.

Yep, anytime. Last year we had about 7-8 regular participants but it's all very casual. Everyone is still sitting on zero but next week is the first of the bonus weeks (2 points up for grabs)

Who do you like tomorrow? I fancy the Lions and maybe the Chargers. Surely Detroit will start showing something yeah? Excellent double-header and the Giants can always spring a surprise (especially on the road)

Well if I'm still up for points I could just pick the away team in both... lol... But no if I had the whole round to choose from, I'd have gotten 2/3... Bengals, Vikings and Saints... and lost on Saints. These two games? I'm Eagles, so I'll be watching the Gmen get slaughtered. Then after that, Chargers to win.

I do try to respect them. And I do succeed to a degree. But they're missing something. Or at least they were last year. Can't help but feel a bit meh towards Palmer. Maybe that's it. But yes, their brand is a lot of fun to watch.

Good comeback by the Colts ... they never seem to be out of games regardless of the scoreline. Luck had another good game but he wouldn't be happy with the 2 interceptions. Peyton and the Broncos will challenge again you'd reckon.

With a lot of the focus on the NFC it will be interesting to see who emerges out of the AFC. Apart from the Broncos, Colts, Pats and Bengals, there are any number of teams who might grab a playoff berth. What's the bet that the Jets are thereabouts again? (for a wild-card spot)

Ray Rice is gone for good after the full video of what happened in the elevator was released. THe NFL had asked all authorities for all of the video footage but only received the shots of outside the elevator. Now we see what happened and Rice's view of events is different from what actually happened. Seems a bit odd that the NFL hadn't seen the footage. It's the almighty NFL not the AFL.

Yeah to be honest, that is a damn awful situation. I think pretty much everyone feels sorry for Rams. Are you sort of partly glad now that you'll look past Bradford in the future? I mean.... Mariotta will be in the draft this year?

We will def chase a QB that is for sure.

I reckon Keenum will be studying really hard this week.

I reckon the Giants will win today! These are the Games the Lions usually cough up.

Chargers are a very good chance against the cards too.

C'mon giants. I wouldn't mind being a game clear of everyone in the NFC North.

Wow the offence for both the chargers and cards are really tearing it up so far...

20 mins of play and I can't stop seeing them move the chains...

Yeah, I won't be picking the Eagles next week.

Pretty disgusting isn't it. I am a huge fan of Goodall and his leadership, especially given I'm a fan of one of the worst run leagues in the entire world... But their handling of this is looking pretty dodgy. The video is disgusting but you hate to see them being reactionary... Kudos to the Ravs for pissing him off though.

If you're really, really nice to me I'll give old Chipper a call and tell him you can have Barkley for your second rounder next year. lol You missed the boat on dirty Sanchez though.

Like the eagles are now.

Ok, I'll stop.

I take back everything I said about the Cards. Their D is sensational. Almost Seattle like actually. Well... So far.

Wow how about the freaking NFC at the moment... Eagles (by default), literally everyone in NFC North, Falcons, Saints, Seahawks, 49ers and Cards... That's 10/16 teams that look like they should be in playoffs.

Lol. Didn't last too long. Still... they look ok... Palmer even looks ok at times.

What a horrible snap miss by Rivers, could have pretty much put the loss beyond them in regular time.

Yeah he's regretting it right about now... Look at the Cards go...

Rivers with 2 minutes... this will be exciting.

  • POSTGAME: Collingwood

Despite effectively playing against four extra opponents, the Dees controlled much of the match. However, their inaccuracy in front of goal and inability to convert dominance in clearances and inside 50s ultimately cost them dearly, falling to a heartbreaking one-point loss on King’s Birthday.

  • CASEY: Collingwood

It was freezing cold at Mission Whitten Stadium where only the brave came out in the rain to watch a game that turned out to be as miserable as the weather.
The Casey Demons secured their third consecutive victory, earning the four premiership points and credit for defeating a highly regarded Collingwood side, but achieved little else. Apart perhaps from setting the scene for Monday’s big game at the MCG and the Ice Challenge that precedes it.
Neither team showcased significant skill in the bleak and greasy conditions, at a location that was far from either’s home territory. Even the field umpires forgot where they were and experienced a challenging evening, but no further comment is necessary.
