If you're going to have an arm-wrestle of a game, it's good to have it from 18 points in front right?

Why not 24?

Johnno Goal!!

WHAAAA, didn't think PJ could do that

Brisbane 4.5.29

Great finish to the Qtr.30pt lead.

Dream Team top 5 on the ground

Col 83

Joel Mac 70

Jamar 68

Jordie Mc 67

Jones 59

Not a brissie player in sight!

So has PJ done enough yet to save himself when it comes time to clear out a few players at the end of the year?

HALF TIME

Brisbane 4.5.29

Melbourne 9.5.59

Really starting to kill the Lions now. Jordie McKenzie must have the nomination wrapped up this week already, with 10 contested touches, and Sylvia's easily BOG at the moment.

Great finish to the Qtr.30pt lead.

That's what we love to see! I'm a little surprised that there aren't a couple in there though. Rischitelli has been good and Merrett is a giant in defence for them.

Such a pivotal season defining game for the MFC this one

Great to see we are taking it to them and up by 5 goals at the half. Considering

our wet weather form be great to see us take control further. Really impressive so

far the quiteness of the Brisbane crowd shows how well we are going.

3rd quarter definately the most important must restrict their scoring opportunities.

Arsiest gaol ever by PJ.

Getting the absolute rub of the green our way off the umps, more for what they are not paying for them than what we are getting.

Sylvia, Dunn, Bartram playing very well.

Dunn's pressure has been awesome. Watts moving well and really controlling the ball.

  • PREVIEW: Essendon

Not long ago, the narrative surrounding Melbourne was steeped in pessimism. There was some concern among the pundits (and even some fans) that the club would arrive at the AFL’s Gather Round still winless, vulnerable to a familiar adversary in the Essendon Football Club, and facing significant scrutiny from an ever-critical media on a national stage. Things have changed.

  • REPORT: Gold Coast

Steven King astutely identified the issues that had plagued the Melbourne Football Club over the past two and a half seasons when he auditioned for the newly created coaching role. The side that had claimed the 2021 premiership had become stodgy, slow-paced, and hesitant to take the initiative.
