Melbourne to train at Skilled Stadium

Featured Replies

Apparently Melbourne is going to train at skilled stadium on Friday afternoon

I imagine this would not be a closed session as there is no way known that Geelong will not be watching

If that is the case does anyone know if Melbourne supporters are allowed to sit in on the session,

and if they are, what time will the session be held at ?

Also apparently Melbourne is staying the night in Geelong

Anyone know if the Melbourne football club is organising anything for Melbourne supporters in the Geelong region to meet or greet the players ?

Besides being at the game.

Its bloody hard to get tickets thats for sure :(

It's not easy for them to have a closed session at Skilled and as you said, the cats would be able to watch no matter what, so what would be the point?

Not sure about any functions, but I'll try to head down tomorrow.

I know they only release a certain amount of tickets, but I think there is a little bit of a fallacy with these ticket sales. My sister jumped online Monday night and bought tickets as easily as any other event. I think people are either too lazy to try or are just using it as an excuse not to go.

You're dead right, it's not that hard to get tickets at all if you're just a little bit organised.

If you wake up the morning before the game and decide you want tickets, then yes, you will probably find difficulty.

there is no tickets left

my family called up and they said there were no more left

but there still might be

Sorry, two mornings before the game.

Still, with a little forward planning, tickets to Skilled aren't all that difficult to come by. In fact, there are still General Admin tickets available right now.

are they standing though or seated ones?

Why would anyone want tickets when you can stay home and listen to the dulcet tones of Kelli Underwood?

oh i have to agree there haha :)

GA means no guaranteed seating. Whether there is walk-up seating at Skilled or not I just don't know.

oh i thought so but yeah not sure

might just have to watch this one on tv :(

not the same though

been to every game this year and this one should be good

Agree. From almost any vantage point at Skilled.

The session I'd imagine wouldn't give much away anyway, being the day before the match. More a familiarity, tuning up session I would have thought. I'm sure our coaches would be most wary re: set plays.

Besides Geelong would have done their homework anyway. If anything, Geelong would have more concern on who is IN and who is OUT of the Melbourne side. Albeit very little concern.

Cos they're the "greatest"..

Who cares. If you wanna support the team it doesn't matter if you have to stand. My sister and I are going down to stand in the general admin. Jump online if you're having trouble getting them over the phone. Quick and simple.

when you have someone with you whos nearly 70 i think it does matter

a few years ago when we last beat geelong at gee long i had a 17 membership all games in vic membership and i just went to game flashed membership and got in, it wont be a sellout, just go early 1 hour before game no problems getting in

Well it seems tickets arent as hard as what I thought they where to get

Dont know how the boys trained but its been raining down here all afternoon.

So if they did train wouldnt surprise me if Geelong turned off the Hot water.

Well even though no one gives us a chance tommorrow I hope the boys have a real crack at it

Would be geat to see them push Geelong

We can only watch and hope

As long as the Boys Believe in their own ability & have a real Crack. Who knows what the players have said to each other on the way down to Geelong.

If the Article in the Geelong Addy with Clint Bartram says anything-The MFC are looking forward to the challenge.

If it gets ugly Tomorrow, well we know how much more work is needed. I don't think it will. I predict another close one.

This young side enjoys playing top teams & i expect that tradition to continue...(i Hope)!!!!!
