Doggies have only beaten richmond, adelaide and some other average side..

They lost to collingwood, st kilda and brisbane..

We beat brisbane, nearly beat collingwood and st kilda arent the best side without rooey!

We are a chance tonight, get excited!!!!!!

Sure we are- The Western Mutts have some old players in their team. Run them to the point of exhaustion Demons.

Get inside Festival Hall's little Brain so he loses it big time (remember september '98??

We can Beat these guys. The Bulldogs are March champions & nobody cares!! B)

I suspect that the Bulldogs will go defensive on this game, similar their approach against St Kilda. Defensive pressure and extra men in our forward line will bring indecision and "chipping" around looking for a target. For Melbourne this could look a lot like last week’s game against North.

If the Dees bomb it in, we will suffer on the rebound as our players running forward are caught under and behind the ball as it heads back to the Bulldog tall’s like Hall. However the Doggies then have to run hard out of the back half all night.

Running can win this game for Melbourne, Brisbane ran the Doggies off their feet, but we have to withstand a couple of quarters of pressure without "losing faith" in midfield run.

I'm excited, but I also have some bad vibes for some reason.

I really hope we are switched on because if we are a little off at the start then it could

get ugly.

Go dee's.

Good luck Hughesy !

All my usuals are not going tonight so I'm on my own which is not great, but I think we will win which is.

Same as I have been all season. Win 7-10 and not get smashed too often. Slow and steady.

I'm more confident tonight than I was last week.

Scully 8 touches and 29 dt points before 1st quarter is over. Anyone calling it now?

  • REPORT: Carlton

I am now certain that the decline in fortunes of the Melbourne Football Club from a premiership power with the potential for more success to come in the future, started when the team ran out for their Round 9 match up against Carlton last year. After knocking over the Cats in a fierce contest the week before, the Demons looked uninterested at the start of play and gave the Blues a six goal start. They recovered to almost snatch victory but lost narrowly with a score of 11.10.76 to 12.5.77. Yesterday, they revisited the scene and provided their fans with a similar display of ineptitude early in the proceedings. Their attitude at the start was poor, given that the game was so winnable. Unsurprisingly, the resulting score was almost identical to that of last year and for the fourth time in succession, the club has lost a game against Carlton despite having more scoring opportunities.

  • CASEY: Carlton

The Casey Demons smashed the Carlton Reserves off the park at Casey Fields on Sunday to retain a hold on an end of season wild card place. It was a comprehensive 108 point victory in which the home side was dominant and several of its players stood out but, in spite of the positivity of such a display, we need to place an asterisk over the outcome which saw a net 100 point advantage to the combined scores in the two contests between Demons and Blues over the weekend.

  • POSTGAME: Carlton

A near full strength Demons were outplayed all night against a Blues outfit that was under the pump and missing at least 9 or 10 of the best players. Time for some hard decisions to be made across the board.
