Just wondering, I wasnt at the game and I didnt get to see what happened when the team song was sung?

Did Bailey join in and belt out a few notes??

I heard the song on the radio and could only hear the passion.

It was great feeling Knowing the boys finally had a chance to sing it I hope he joined in.

Been a long time coming, lets hope they get to sing it a lot more over the next few weeks

The Richmond game now takes on a whole new meaning and places a lot more empahsis on the boys

They have won their first game and now they Must follow it up with a comprehensive win over the Sad Tigers

Bailey would never join in, as he stated the week before, it is the players who play and win

Loved how Bails gave the supporters and members a pump-up too. Nice to finally get some public acknowledgement for those of us who have sat at the 'G week after week through hard, seemingly endless winters where there has been rarely a glimmer of hope. I, for one, will be walking around with that very same smile he talked about in his press conference last night. Hope it might last for two weeks when we pump the Tigers next week.

What was the go with all of the supporters in the rooms afterwards?

I was watching it on the tele and when they went to interview Brad Green, there was a mass of supporters off to his left-hand side.

Is that normal?

No it is not, it is usually a few family and friends, but believe Chris Connoly got carried away with the win and threw the doors open........

That might be Baileys view but to me every person employed by the Melbourne football club is a part of that win, everything they contribute has some bearing somewhere.

To the staff who help run the club,to runners on the field, to the individual coaches who help the players get to where they are on the day

Let alone the coach himself. All are Integral parts of the team , all put in their bit of course all are not in a position to join in the song.

Bailey was there and should have joined in and been as much a part of that song as were the players they may be the ones on the field as Bailey states, but it takes a lot to get them there and have them perform. Bailey is as much apart of the win as they are. Wether he has footy boots on or not, therefore I dont see anything wrong with a public display of passion

Does anyone?

Highlight for me; Jack Trengoves face. He absolutely LOVED the win! He was filled with joy and I have the feeling he will remember this game for a very long time.

Does anyone think the fact that his first AFL win was against Adelaide will have any kind of relevance to anything at all?

I love this guy. His character alone is employable, and his happy go lucky ways are immensly hard to resist!

Weren't the Before the Bounce crew going to be let in if we had a win?

I've always been one for the players should be the only ones singing it but I agree that a huge number of people are involved in the whole thing and should enjoy it too... Maybe a 2nd larger circle around the players singing it every now and again...

Same. I kept an eye out for the reactions of the likes of Trengove, McKenzie, Scully, Grimes etc and you could see how much it meant to them, which was memorable to witness as a supporter of the club during what is potentially a historic period.

Not that I'm getting my hopes up.

Maybe it just maybe it was the players who have decided that's how they want to celebrate the win. And fair enough too.

If the others feel entitled then lets have ring a rosy around the inner group.

Demonland Trackwatchers braved the sweltering heat to bring you their Preseason Training observations from Gosch's Paddock on Monday morning. SCOOP JUNIOR'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I went down today in what were pretty ordinary conditions - hot and windy. When I got there, they were doing repeat simulations of a stoppage on the wing and then moving the ball inside 50. There seemed to be an emphasis on handballing out of the stoppage, usually there were 3 or 4 handballs to

Lever was also on restricted duties and appeared to be in runners.  The main group was doing end-to-end transition work in a simulated match situation. Ball mov

WAYNE WUSSELL'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Rehab: Lever, Spargo, McAdam, Lindsay, Brown Sinnema is excellent by foot and has a decent vertical leap. Windsor is training with the Defenders. Windsor's run won't be lost playing off half back. In 19 games in 2024 he kicked 8 goals as a winger. I see him getting shots at g

BEST OF THE REST by Meggs

Meggs' Review of Melbourne's AFLW Season 9 ... Congratulations first off to the North Melbourne Kangaroos on winning the 2024 AFLW Premiership. Roos Coach Darren Crocker has assembled a team chock-full of competitive and highly skilful players who outclassed the Brisbane Lions in the Grand Final to remain undefeated throughout Season 9. A huge achievement in what was a dominant season by North. For Melbourne fans, the season was unfortunately one of frustration and disappointment
