I think you can get updates off the demons twitter here.

Would be nice to get some other reports. I cant find anything else!

1 Qtr

Opening bounce here at Visy Park. Dees win toss and kick towards the Legends Stand
Dees playing attacking positive football, but have yet to take advantage on scoreboard kicking 3 behinds to the bombers nil.
Dees wasting opportunities in front of goal kicking 4 behinds to the bombers 2 goals.
Bombers kick another - Dees 0.5.5 to Ess 4.1.25
Jones kicks the Dees first major – 1.5.11 to 6.1.37
Grimes kicks a nice goal with only seconds remaining in the first quarter

Demons 2.5.17

Bombers 6.1.37

Dees got better as the quarter continued. Sylvia with a few

classy touches, so too Grimes.

Need to keep moving the ball quickly through the midfield.

# End of Q1 - Dees playing patches of good footy. Need to convert in front of goal. 2.6.18 to 6.1.37 less than 5 seconds ago via web

Another great start. And Bailey has spoken about how important our first quarters will be! thats 0 from 2 and nowhere near competitive in either

Are you at the game? 8 scoring shots to 7 suggests that we weren't really blown out of the water that quarter. It is a practice game FFS and we have a bunch of kids out there. Take it easy or your going to be in a padded room by round 5.

I don't care about the score I just want to read that they are playing attacking, positive football. It's only a practice match and Essendon's squad looked a lot stronger than ours.

Well said!

Also try this for updates. It's an Essendon site so the focus is on then but it is useful.

Yeah, fair point!

Bombers kick an easy one through through

their Davey. Pressure still not quite there.

Jamar looking strong in the ruck.

I'm liking the look of gysbets game so far

What role is Gysberts playing.

Any updates on SculGrove?

Just quietly I had a look at their game against the Wet Toast (alright, alright, I wanted to see NicNat's game), and I reckon if we go down to these guys there's no shame in it. They're undermanned in a few places, which is why they're not winning a flag this year, but they move the ball a HELL of a lot better than we do, with way more confidence and pace. Going on both teams' games last week I can't see us getting within 5 goals of these guys, so I reckon this is about par so far.

Gysbets is playing on the wing.. He's no standout but he's probably done more than Brock last week already.. You can see why we recruited

him.. Cols probably our best player.. Our foward line resembles

pagans paddock

Jurrah hasn't kicked a goal yet. Has he done anything?

A couple of terrible terrible misses on goal

from big Stef and Maric. 26 points down at half time, should be a couple of goals less.

Sylvia has taken a few outstanding marks in damp conditions. Jack Grimes moving

with confidence.

Jurrah seems to have lost confidence. Just needs a couple of clean touches and he'll start back here he left off last year.

Think we can win the second half, which would be an

improvement.

So once again our kicking for goal seems atrociuos, but as I'm not there I'd like to know, is there a swirly wind? Have they been set shots missed, long attempts etc and who has missed the shots?

2024 Player Reviews: #7 Jack Viney

The tough on baller won his second Keith 'Bluey' Truscott Trophy in a narrow battle with skipper Max Gawn and Alex Neal-Bullen and battled on manfully in the face of a number of injury niggles. TRAINING: Wednesday 13th November 2024

A couple of Demonland Trackwatchers braved the rain and headed down to Gosch's paddock to bring you their observations from the second day of Preseason training for the 1st to 4th Year players. DITCHA'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS I attended some of the training today. Richo spoke to me and said not to believe what is in the media, as we will good this year. Jefferson and Kentfield looked big and strong.  Petty was doing all the training. Adams looked like he was in rehab.  KE

Veteran Demonland Trackwatchers Kev Martin, Slartibartfast & Demon Wheels were on hand at Gosch's Paddock to kick off the official first training session for the 1st to 4th year players with a few elder statesmen in attendance as well. KEV MARTIN'S PRESEASON TRAINING OBSERVATIONS Beautiful morning. Joy all round, they look like they want to be there.  21 in the squad. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. He showed great resilience in coming back from a nasty rib injury and is expected to continue in that role for another couple of seasons. 2024 Player Reviews: #4 Judd McVee

It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield. There could be more of that in 2025.
