Download the silverlight applications into your applications folder, as i have just done. And hey presto i can hear Schwabby's great speech.!!

Firstly thanks for the links, after sorting out how to recieve them , i watched all 3 speeches Twice each.

All 3 speeches were inspired. Anyone who does not fully believe in DB's ability should watch his speech VERY CAREFULLY.

He is a fine operator, i have no doubt.

2010 is going to be great, i just hope we can score a couple of early wins.

And supporters roll up to those early games. Show the club and players we have faith in the plan that is being executed.

Thanks for the Links, i wanted to attend but living a couple of hours away its not always easy. Gee we are on the right track pretty hard fault anyone or anything.

His speaking ability or his coaching ability?

Salient point.

I hope one is an indication of the other, but to be honest, we've not yet been in a position to find out.

Inspirational stuff. Everyone clearly 'on the same page', and confident that we are on the right track to deliver.

His speaking ability or his coaching ability?

I take it that you have a problem with DB?

If so what is it? & what would you do differently??

Yes we have. To do what DB has done over the past 2 years takes a lot of Guts and strength of character. You have to give him credit for that,

he could have easily cracked under the conditions he was given.

i admit 2010 will give us our first glimpse of his "real" coaching ability but i am betting he has that covered...if his players stand up

All I'm suggesting is that it's ridiculous to say that people should believe in his coaching ability becuase he gave a good speech.

Fair Comment, But i still believe after listening to that speech that DB knows exactly what he is doing.

For that matter so does Cam Schwabb.

you can be cautious of course, but sometimes you gotta belief the feelings inside ya guts.

2010 Bring it on.

the bit at the end where he said there will be a few moments this year we will be proud to be Melbourne members, I think he truly believes it and so do I. I don't think we will get higher than say 10th at best but I'm sure at one or two stages in the year we will upset a highly rated side and make everyone notice. Please be the Pies.

Our Biggest Problem is going to be in the Ruck.

As for the rest of the ground, the excuses are over. The Team must go out there and match it with the best.

No one believed The New Orleans Saints could win the Super Bowl yesterday-but they did it.

That is the kind of attitude that Bailey and the club must expect from all players.

New Orleans won their first Grail in 43 years of existance yesterday-Nobody picked them.

There is one thing going for the MFC right now...We have some good players in our side....& nobody out there rates them

On the back of a wily old fox as a coach.

He took some good risks and the players didn't die wondering.

Thats what i hope DB does. Kevin Sheedy has done very well out of that philosophy.

I think that's a reason DB wants players to play in multiple positions-keep the opponent 2nd Guessing.

Agreed. Not only does Bails' plan keep the opposition guessing but creates resilience in our players, to be adaptable, flexible and ready for any challenge thrown at them.

Wish I could have been there at this year's AGM to see the speeches but unfortunately I have moved interstate.

Go Dees in 2010!

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Richmond

Round four kicks off early Saturday afternoon at Casey Fields, as the mighty Narrm host the winless Richmond Tigers in the second week of Indigenous Round celebrations. With ideal footy conditions forecast—20 degrees, overcast skies, and a gentle breeze — expect a fast-paced contest. Narrm enters with momentum and a dangerous forward line, while Richmond is still searching for its first win. With key injuries on both sides and pride on the line, this clash promises plenty.
