I agree JCash that this is the logical situation, however, sadly for Carlton it is not true.

The Carlton board has been unhappy with Fev for sometime, and there have been people on that board who have wanted Fev to be traded for years. He is considered a “cancer” to the playing group. Fev sets a terrible example to the young players, takes them gambling and drinking, drops his head, put himself first. However, his biggest problem has been his chips on his shoulder and jealousy of Judd. He walks around the club calling Judd "messiah", undermines Judds captaincy, continually makes smart arse comments while Judd is making speeches to the playing group etc. On Brownlow night Judd tried on several occasions to quietly move Fev on, but was instead meet with Fevs complete lack of respect for his captain.

The Carlton board then discussed, dismissing Fev, but before making a final decision asked Judd his thoughts. Judd was left in no illusion that if he said “cut him” that is what would happen. Judd took a few days to contemplate the situation. On Grand Final day, Judd discussed the situation with Robert Harvey who is the Carlton mid-field coach. Robert Harvey said his great regret from his days as captain was not standing up and getting rid of the "cancers" that were at that time in the St. Kilda football club. There were those players taking drugs, those who were sleeping with other players girl friends and wife’s and those who simply undermined the captain. Robert Harvey told Judd that keeping these players cost St. Kilda premierships. He told Judd the best thing St.Kilda ever did was to get rid of Lockett who was at the time undermining Harvey in a similar way to which Fev undermines Judd. In the end Judd made the decision, let the board know of his thoughts and Fev was put up to trade.

There is still more to this story. All the skeletons in Fevs cupboard are not out. Fev has done other worse things that only Carlton Football Club knows about. Carlton fear that if these things came out no club would take Fev. As a result you will find that at the end of trade week Carlton will take what ever they can get. Fev will not be playing for the blues next season.

This comes directly from high up in the CFC.

I was on Holidays RR in a country where No one gives a Toss about the Brownlow. And i don't work for ch9.

Sorry for not being completely 100% savvy with the whole story. I watched the clips i could find.

Do you have to disagree with every Topic discussed on here??

Given the Footy Show had the appalling lack of basic good judgement and taste 12 months ago to publicly humiliate and denigrate a female journalist in the way they did and then think it was good copy for TV, I would not have thought it out of the question that there were any other boundaries that the Footy Show would have.

Both the Footy Show in Victoria and NSW have a history of appealing to the base attitudes of the lowest common denominator in our community and Ch 9 has a well earned reputation for supporting shows and antics like this all in the name of ratings.

It got nothing to with the viewing of the actual programme involving Fevola. I am surprised you could be astounded by the Footy Show's attitude to Fevola given their history. Fev is a wingnut but it was cleared he was inebriated fodder for the schoolboy entertainers on the Footy Show.

And for someone who makes a perpetual point of advertising your involvement in the TV industry, it does not seem to provide you with any insight or knowledge that makes the repeating of the point necessary. Maybe you should watch the Frontline shows and it might give you more perspective than you carry at the moment.

Problem is that Dick Pratt liked Fev and legacy remains.

Who are the takers for him anyway? Can t see the Pies going for him.

This is sounding like a done deal according to the age and sun.

Pretty hard to believe considering FEV's manager said there had been no

interest It wont be signed off till tomorrow and I suppose they still have

to convince Rischitelli and Bradshaw on the move.

If Brisbane deal is true, it is a terrible deal for Carlton. This would show how much Carlton are over him. As I said they are prepared to take anything they can get for him.

Also, when I said there were more Fev skelletons in the cupboard, I was not talking about the other instances at the Browlow (of which only some of the above rumoured list are true), rather other Fev acts that have occured over the years that have not come out but have been covered up by Carlton. I am told that these are so bad that if they came out publically no other club would have any interest............ end of story.

They knock you back for a job?

Nine didn't escape scott free, you're not the only person in this world who has to blame everyone. Nine got screwed by Fev, often the brownlow street talk is good value, this year it was pathetic as they showed the few short clips they could of Fev and nathan Brown's lame efforts to recover the segment.

I like how you've criticised them for a light edit, found out it was more so and changed tact to it now just being for giving him a microphone. Love the consistency pal.

I Haven't changed Tact at all. I am merely trying to find out how much was "Live to air" on Brownlow night & how much was pre recorded.

Because if most was pre recorded then ch9 would have had a very good idea what the outcome was going to be.

Where have i changed my tact Riot? You were not working for the dots that night were you?? I seemed to have hit a raw nerve???

Any chance of the full story of bronlow night getting out and his past indiscretions made public.

Be good to see Carltank be made responsible for the monster they created.

It would be a massive welcome for Brock walking into the eye of a storm.

Ok i ask a Question, i thought Fevola just F'ed up on the Brownlow night, I have heard nothing of the Footy Show!! The Footy show doesn't make it to Asia!!

This means not only were the segments Pre recorded but there were days in between where all vision coukd be screened??

Call it my opinion but i call that pretty bad judgement on behalf of ch9 Similiar to the Chaser situation on the ABC earlier this year.

The Buck stops with ch9 Hierachy not "the Footy Show" when things like this happen.

Standards have dropped even further within that Rabble since "The Goanna" passed on & Jamie Took over, but then he is not a fan of TV like his Dad, & is more addicted to Las Vegas Casino buying.

I worked on the 7.30 Report when John Jost was the Anchor man, & Frank McGuire (Eddie's Brother) was the Top Political reporter-Very Smart Man.

I also worked on "Frontline" & "The Late Show" with the Working Dog Crew among other shows.

I am merely trying to find out what happened while i was away from Australian Television.

When i am on Holidays i try & avoid watching too much TV for good reason

Exactly so why were you astounded as such antics are pre screened by the TV stations? Ch9 have a long history of catering for such pathetic antics.

Wasn't it Caroline Wilson. If so then i can see why its funny.

Thanks for proving my point.

My point is that this time the consequences have hit hard on quite a few levels. so i believe ch9 should be held responsible for causing a lot of it. Live to air, sure a few things slip through, but pre recorded is a totally different matter.

I doubt anything will happen to ch9 but i believe Heads should roll.

Wise move

Nothing personal. But you have a tendency to be "astounded" by TV behaviour and "overdrawn" on trite print media like the Hun.Shows like the Footy Show are pits for good taste and humour. Nothing should surprise there

What Job do you do R.R?? Lawyer or are you the Hangmen!!!

Not much difference between the two occupations. (Sorry Jack and Reubin!)

Broadcasting is self regulated.

Poacher / Game keeper.

Nothing will happen.

Footage on the show was a storm in a teacup.

Fev is another issue. I think Fev was going from Carlton anyway. This only heightened the matter on the Richter scale from 6 to 7.

I'm quite disappointed that Carlton have managed to land a legitimate key forward out of the Fevola deal, not mention a decent midfielder. The nasty part of me had hoped they'd be left stranded with picks or smaller types. Having Bradshaw up forward striaghtens them up.

Why is it so terrible a deal. Bradshaw is a Gun, plus they gain a young midfielder. And the Alcoholic Problem is discarded. (plus it doesn't get to the Filth)...Excellent Result i would say...

True, but it does give them a much smaller window of opportunity.

At 31 (32?) and with dodgy hamstrings, Bradshaw will be lucky to survive another two seasons in top form.

And just how many midfielders do they need? Have they looked at the state of their backline?

I'm just glad that he didn't go to Collingwood... that would have been a tragedy.

I don't mind him going to Brisbane..... Rischitelli is above average at best and Bradshaw has 1 - 3 years left in him so i don't think Carlton necessarily win out here.

How do you think Mclean and Rischitelli will fit in the same side next year? Can't really see it happening.
