Hi, I thought this would be good for everyone on the forum to tell us a bit about themselves, whether your a new poster, or an 'old' one.

As for me.

I'm 18, doing VCE exams at the moment. Begun volunteering at the MFC late last year with the Demonology/Demonland volunteer group, and from there I begun doing some full days at the club, including the chance to go on the Footy Show Membership Drive on the clubs table.

My most memorable MFC moment was round 2, 2004, when I went into the rooms, met some players, and ex-players as it was the 'Unficiation March'. Ron Barrassi told me to 'get some porridge' into me. I then donned the playing gear, ran through the banner, and tossed the coin.

Amazing experience.

Ok, over to you.

I might as well have a go,

Well my name is Dale, im 19 and live near Pakenham. Right now I should be studying for exams for uni, where I study Medical, Forensic and Analytical Chemistry (impressive name hey :P ). Outside following the demons and uni, I'd say my main interest is music, punk and hardcore mainly.

My most memorable MFC moment is still to come in a few years, when we win a flag!!!!! :D

Anyway thats all I can think of for now so...cheers!

Hey, Im Bianca :) . I'm 18 and in the middle of exams...urgh.

I love the dee's. I become a supporter through my bestfriend, b4 that i supported the bombers..i dunno if i should be writing this...PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!

My fav players are Robbo and Rivers. but really i think they are all awesome players.

I love music. My fav band are Incubus.

and i think thats everything.

catchya's :P

Hey hey!

My Name is Michelle I'm 21! I'm a nurse! Followed the Dees all my life!! Absolutely love them all! Currently in the middle of reading Trisha's book and it is absolutely amazing!! Best read!

Most of the fmaily barracks for Carlton lucky for me my Dad talked some sense into me at a young age

I'm 19, having finished my VCE exams last year (don't listen to what they tell you, my high ENTER score means nothing these days).

I decided to take a year off, and now I work in child-care and nanny on the side. I'm going to study nursing next year, well if I get in that is.

Apart from my work and footy, my other real passions in life are shopping, reading and music. But I will happily give up all my shoes, books and my iPod if it means seeing a Melbourne premiership.

:)

Why would we hurt you?

Anyone whose ditched the Bombers to come over to the Dees is a great friend of ours!

We respect your obviously phenominal judgement!

i agree to an extent, but it damn hard to believe that when you are actually doing VCE, but once you finish you look back and can see where people are coming from

Don't get me wrong, your ENTER is important if you know straight away what you want to do. But I got into a course with limited places, decided I hated it and dropped out.

One year later, and I may not get into a nursing course, although my ENTER was almost 30 points higher than the required ENTER for year 12 students.

You should always strive to achieve your best, but don't beat yourself up too much if you don't finish with 99.95. Even if you don't get into the course you want, there are always ways to work around it.

Just enjoy year 12, because you will miss school when it's finished.

my name is Michael and i am 17 from Tassie.

currently studying for exams and other passions include listening to music, playing cricket and partying with my mates

Howdy, I am 18 (and a half!!!) and am still in the middle of exams-If any of you know what the IB is you can identify with my position at the moment!!! Finished in 8 days though so that's exciting!

I live in Balwyn, drive a clapped out jag but at least it looks good

My passions are cars, playing sport and also being an armchair expert on every sport. I am rapt the racing carnival is over though.

Supported the dees since I was born, I was captured by my uncles and 'It's a Grand old flag' was the first song i EVER heard!

Favourite moment would have to be the 2000 qualifying final against Carlton, we were sitting down the end where Green, Bruce and Yze put on a show in the last quarter. Two weeks after that was pretty special too, with Farmer kicking 8.

Like everyone, I'm waiting for a premiership. Now that would be exciting

Fave players are Bruce and Yze

What school you at CtB?

How many exams left?

I'm Tom, I'm 23 and an Aries.

I currently work in customer service and have supported Melbourne since Feb 1991.

Before that I had followed my family and for the first 8 and 1/2 years of my life considered myself a Collingwood fan, I shudder to think what I would have been like if I hadn't seen the light and become a Demon.

My Favourite players are David Neitz and Cam Bruce.

Where do you umpire?

I'm a goal umpire with the VAFA - a very good league to umpire with...

field umpire with the WJFA/Dandenong

did a couple of games with the amatures and defintely looking to do that full time this season. trying to contact them through my advisor atm.

G'day. I'm Dion. 25 years old and just finished uni after 7 long and excruciatingly painful years of study (as stated on another thread). Been a supporter of the dees all my life and go to the games every week with my brothers. Apparently I annoy the crap out of them. I can't help it. It's not in my nature to sit down quietly whilst watching football.

I did some work experience with the Demons medical staff earlier this year. This was an amazing experience and gave me some good insights into some of the injuries players carry through a season as well as how these niggles may affect their performances. And just so that people know, we have a top notch medical team looking after our boys.

Favourite Demons moment: Though I was only 8, I still have vivid memories of the 1988 preliminary final against Carlton at Waverley. After crying my way home following the '87 Jim Stynes debacle, the next year's win was sweet (even if we did end up embarrassing ourselves the next week).

  • PREVIEW: Hawthorn

Hawthorn and Melbourne. Two teams with impressive form from last week but with seasons that are travelling on different trajectories meet in Saturday’s twilight game for what could well be the most intriguing contest of the AFL’s penultimate round. Sadly, the game has been relegated to that unappealing time slot in the weekend when Melburnians are typically preoccupied with activities other than football. It falls between the morning's shopping, afternoon sport and recreation, and Saturday night fever. A time usually reserved for relatively insignificant events but this one is not a nothingburger for either of the clubs or their fans.

  • REPORT: Western Bulldogs

The next coach of the Melbourne Football Club faces the challenge of teaching his players how to win games against all comers. At times during this tumultuous season, that task has seemed daunting, made more so in light of the surprise news last week of the sacking of premiership coach Simon Goodwin. However, there were also some positive signs from yesterday’s match against the Western Bulldogs that the challenge may not be as difficult as one might think. The two sides presented a genuine football spectacle, featuring pulsating competitive play with eight lead changes throughout the afternoon, in a display befitting a finals match. The result could have gone either way and in the end, it came down to which team could produce the most desperate of acts to provide a winning result. It was the Bulldogs who had their season on the line that won out by a six point margin that fitted the game and the effort of both sides.

  • CASEY: Brisbane

The rain had been falling heavily in south east Queensland when the match began at Springfield, west of Brisbane. The teams exchanged early goals and then the Casey Demons proceeded like a house on fire in the penultimate game of the VFL season against a strong opponent in the Brisbane Lions. Sparked by strong play around the ground by seasoned players in Charlie Spargo and Jack Billings, a strong effort from Bailey Laurie and promising work from youngsters in Kynan Brown and  Koltyn Tholstrup, the Demons with multiple goal kickers firing, raced to a 27 point lead late in the opening stanza. A highlight was a wonderful goal from Laurie who brilliantly sidestepped two opponents and kicked beautifully from 45 metres out.
