On the demons official site 2009 memberships are now available.

I am guessing we are keeping our logo from this year? As there is a special edition members polo with that logo still on there?

What is everyones opinion on that and the new memberships?

Demon Direct Payment plans are a fantastic idea.

I thought we were going back to the demon though? As i dont like our logo too much.

Probably signed up for a certain amount of merch with that design so maybe they'll mull it over during the season, i didn't hate that one we used in '08 but it's was a little boring.

I think the current logo is great, absolutely love it.

But i have a background in design and we're usually out of touch with the common man.

I think there's a lot of room for a much better 'secondary' logo incorporating the demon, but a NEW demon, something a bit more fierce.

Something that truly represents the kind of footy we want the club to play.

No room for that cutesy cartoonish thing, its amateurish i think.

I've been working at it a little in my spare time - if i get something i think is decent i'll post it up here.

The club can feel free to use it if its any good! IF.

Actually, I've just been thinking about it and the current logo, I think, says a lot about how Paul Gardner and the former board saw the club and where they wanted to head with it.

Its clean, simple, gets the point across. A very good CORPORATE logo. If we were BHP it would be brilliant.

But we are not. And you're right, we need something that conveys the emotion that comes from the game.

Somehow it needs to link to idea of all the ideals that we want to represent.

Maybe if some of you guys could list which ones are the most important to you, giving me a point of reference?

I know how it is in my head, but its good to get other people's ideas.

Also its great to see wona doing that famous celebrating pose as the picture to go with our membership drive.

i like the idea of the G/F Guarantee option

if Melbourne had any chance of making finals one year i would buy that in a heart beat

ha, a mate's bros' are on one of the membership package links.

It's a good idea, they should switch the photos every week or so to keep people looking

Nicely said. You're right, our logo is a corporate logo. The previous board tried to move the club to the corporate world, by ditching the demon and 'renaming' it Melbournefc. Almost every other club's logo is of its mascot (Carlton the exception I think). We need to bring back the demon (the way it was please, not the new one) I think, because, as you said, we're out of touch with the common man.

Even if we stuck with the red and blue melbourne fc type logo, why not be a bit more creative and put it on a crest or something! instead of a boring square!

Demon or a crest for me.

Surely that means Wona will be elevated off the rookie list.

Can't have the face of the membership kicking goals for Casey Scorpions.

I doubt Bailey makes the decisions in regards to marketing and advertising, and i also doubt he'd seriously take this into account when managing his list.

There are more important things at stake.

I'm sure Bailey wouldn't make decisions regarding marketing decisions. However Shaft, the marketing department may consult with the footy department before making decisions on the club's marketing campaigns (ie slogan's, membership advertising, etc).

True. They definitely SHOULD.

2024 Player Reviews: #36 Kysaiah Pickett

The Demons’ aggressive small forward who kicks goals and defends the Demons’ ball in the forward arc. When he’s on song, he’s unstoppable but he did blot his copybook with a three week suspension in the final round. 2024 Player Reviews: #1 Steven May

The years are rolling by but May continued to be rock solid in a key defensive position despite some injury concerns. It was another strong season from McVee who spent most of his time mainly at half back but he also looked at home on a few occasions when he was moved into the midfield.
