Demons draft domination

Bate and Pick 19 to Essendon - Pick 5 and 39 to Melbourne

Sylvia and Pick 17 to Richmond - Pick 8 and Pick 42 to Melbourne

Bell and Pick 51 to Adelaide - Brent Reilly to Melbourne

OR

Bell to Port Adel. - Adam Thomson to Melbourne

Sylvia and Frawley to StKilda - Pick 13 to Melbourne (Frawley just signed 2 year contract, but I think we can still trade)

You're on Y_M's medication. The other clubs will keep their picks. It won't happen. 1,17,19,35 will be it. Unless there is one trade for another pick between 20 and 30....time will tell.

You've said Sylvia to Richmond, and then Sylvia to St.Kilda???

only two things likely to happen in trade week

Bentley to the dees, somehow

Armitage to the dees- for pick 19

Yeah! The Medication is good! It's called "creativity"!

I was waiting for the Sylvia double trade to come up. It's obvious only one of those could work. I was just throwing up a "creative" alternative.

Yes.... time will tell.

I hope your wrong on the Armitage for Pick 19 deal. I would hope it's more like Pick 35.

Bentley still a possible recruit. What about Thomson? Is he off the radar?

whose radar??

you think MFC makle their decisions based on what is written on here?

Has nothing too do with what is written on here you numskull!

I would think Adam Thomson would be on the MFC list or radar of possible recruits!

1 - Nick Naitanui

2 - Steele Sidebottom

11 - Lewis Johnstone

17 - Chris Yarran

26 - Tom Lynch

35 - Jordan Roughead

I won't argue Naitanui.

I assume that Sidebottom pick was meant to be pick 5? Because he's not a top 3 pick. Johnstone would be a good get at 11. I wouldn't take Yarran at 17, i don't think he's the best available and he's yet to be proven as a genuine midfield option, we don't need another forward flanker/pocket, not that early at least. Same deal with Lynch, better options and not the sort of player we need. He's doesn't play KP, he's a 3rd tall and we've already got enough 188-192cm utilities. I'd be happy with Roughead at 35

Oh creativity. That's the same medication Snoop Dogg is always talking about isn't it?

Sorry, yeah. Have edited it as pick 5.

Also edited pick 11, as we should take either Cornelius or Johnstone (assuming one is left)

essendon will get him

MFC won't, and don't

Y_M, read this article and tell me if you still want Naita over Watts.

http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/watt...2259188304.html

One recruiter believes that by the end of the year — "if not by the end of the carnival" — Watts will be considered the best young prospect in the country. Another, still firmly in the Naitanui camp, described Watts as this year's shooting star. Another went further still. "If the draft was on tomorrow and I had first pick, I'd be choosing him," he said. "Without hesitation. He's just a natural player, he's an athlete and he's a very strong competitor.

"Nick's an extraordinary talent in terms of athleticism, but there's still a bit of 'see ball, get ball' about him. He's still learning how to find the footy, so that's what you'll need to have a think about if you're picking down there.

He may of been on the Mfc radar, but he's fallen off and stopped bleeping....he's gone "stealth"

He's shown up on Essendon's Radar though.

Here is a radio transcript picked up from the Essendonfc control tower....

"Sir, we have a bogey, dead ahead,...........it's Adam Thomson....."

;)

PS. Is that creative enough for you?

Not to mention, threads like these only occur in this section, for a few months a year. When there's no footy to discuss, it's better than nothing.

I have posted it before, but will again.

Pick 19 to Brisbane for Mitch Clarke.

Why the hell would Brisbane do that?

It has been rumoured he might want to come back home.

Yeah! Good one High Tower! I like your creativity with that! Write me a little more......

Signed a 3 year deal this year. And he's from WA.

Well it was a rumour I heard. And if thats the case! It was only a rumour and a very wrong one!

  • AFLW PREVIEW: West Coast

Epic battle alert.  This Sunday, Casey Fields hosts a coach’s showdown pitting the wits of the master Mick Stinear (92 games, 71.7% win rate) against his protégé Daisy Pearce (16 games, 43.8%). Still early in her coaching journey, Daisy’s record doesn’t yet reflect her impact — but she’s already the best-performed coach at West Coast.Dais’ is mythic.  Like Katniss Everdeen, everyone either wants to kiss her, kill her (sporting metaphor) or be her.  Toothers Daisy Pearce is a role model, someone admired for their heart, humility and humour.

  • AFLW REPORT: Port Adelaide

Well, that was a shock. The Demons 4-game unbeaten run came to a grinding halt in a tense, scrappy affair at the sunny, windy Alberton Oval, with the Power holding on for a 2-point win. The Dees had their chances—plenty of them—but couldn't convert when it mattered most. Port’s tackling pressure rattled the Dees, triggering a fumble frenzy and surprising lack of composure from seasoned players.

  • AFLW PREVIEW: Port Adelaide

The undefeated Demons venture across the continent to the spiritual home of the Port Adelaide Football Club on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural match for premiership points between these long-historied clubs. Alberton Oval will however, be a ground familiar to our players following a practice match there last year. We lost both the game and Liv Purcell, who missed 7 home and away matches after suffering facial fractures in the dying moments of the game.

  • AFLW REPORT: Richmond

A glorious sunny afternoon with a typically strong Casey Fields breeze favouring the city end greeted this round four clash of the undefeated Narrm against the winless Tigers. Pre-match, the teams entered the ground through the Deearmy’s inclusive banner—"Narrm Football Weaving Communities Together and then Warumungu/Yawuru woman and Fox Boundary Rider, Megan Waters, gave the official acknowledgement of country. Any concerns that Collingwood’s strategy of last week to discombobulate the Dees would be replicated by Ryan Ferguson and his Tigers evaporated in the second quarter when Richmond failed to use the wind advantage and Narrm scored three unanswered goals.

  • CASEY: Frankston

The late-season run of Casey wins was broken in their first semifinal against Frankston in a heartbreaking end at Kinetic Stadium on Saturday night that in many respects reflected their entire season. When they were bad, they committed all of the football transgressions, including poor disposal, indiscipline, an inability to exert pressure, and some terrible decision-making, as exemplified by the period in the game when they conceded nine unanswered goals from early in the second quarter until halfway through the third term. You rarely win when you do this.
