Bad start for Victoria with Hopes getting Rogers and Mash out early, but Jewell and Finch are rebuilding. 2/115

Good win for the vics.

Check out the India South Africa scorecard - SA almost pulled off one of the most unlikely of wins.

South Africa's team seems unbalanced. Not enough batsmen. Like Duminy, Albie Morkel's not playing anywhere near as well as he did against us.

been at the Gabba for the test match . Bigg crowd (around 100) , Jewell,Wade played real well. Lets hope the lower order can get to around 450-500

Also Hughes must be near getting back into test side maybe for Ashes revenge on England who lost to Pakis in 20 /20

Only player worthy of getting dropped at the moment is North. So unless either Hughes is willing to bat at 6, or the selectors wish to risk a lot by splitting the highly successful opening pair of Katich and Watson, Hughes isn't getting back in any time soon.

Agree. Watson was the ACB Cricketer and 1 day cricketer of the Year. Katich was the Test Player of the Year Award. Go figure

Sadly that was the most lifeless and Dull summer of cricket (international) i have ever seen.

For the first time ever i am glad it's over. I hope it is just a blip on the Radar & not a long term decline in interest.

Interesting times ahead for the Bat & Ball.

Domestic Cricket was more exciting and bring on the IPL,Go the Royals

Oh dear God...

Victoria, recommencing on 1/4 with a lead of 150, are currently 9/89. Yes, 9 down. At one stage it was 7/33. To think that if we'd bowled Queensland out for just 4 runs less we could (and probably would) have enforced the follow on.

This is such an important match, and we may have blown it. The lead is currently 235. 70 short of what we need, but some disciplined bowling should hopefully give us a chance. A massive 10th wicket partnership would help.

I cannot believe it !

We've "set" them 251. All out for 104.

Apparently it was overcast with plenty of moisture - plenty of swing happening

An outright win will guarantee a home final. We already have 2 points from the first innings.

Qld 8-174.

Surprised you can't believe it HT - that's the norm up there

2 more scalps tomorrow....

Sachin Tendulkar has just scored the highest score for a male in One-Dayers. He is currently 195 not out with India 3/345

what a Cricket machine he is...absolutely amazing. if anything bad ever happens to sachin, india will stop existing. They must make the IPL so safe...it worries me greatly after last year.

200 not out off 147 balls. India 3/401. What a player

How long will he play on for is the big question, is certainly a delight to watch

Poor old Charles would be shattered!!!!

it was in a losing team vs banglas

Cripes How could you hit 194 in a single innings and lose to Bangladesh?

That would be enough to bring forth the dreaded Grog Monster onto your career. No wonder we haven't heard of charles!!

  • REPORT: Richmond

The fans who turned up to the MCG for Melbourne’s Anzac Day Eve clash against Richmond would have been disappointed if they turned up to see a great spectacle. As much as this was a night for the 71,635 in attendance to commemorate heroes of the nation’s past wars, it was also a time for the Melbourne Football Club to consolidate upon its first win after a horrific start to the 2025 season. On this basis, despite the fact that it was an uninspiring and dour struggle for most of its 100 minutes, the night will be one for the fans to remember. They certainly got value out of the pre match activity honouring those who fought for their country. The MCG and the lights of the city as backdrop was made for nights such as these and, in my view, we received a more inspirational ceremony of Anzac culture than others both here and elsewhere around the country.

  • CASEY: Richmond

The match up of teams competing in our great Aussie game at its second highest level is a rarity for a work day Thursday morning but the blustery conditions that met the players at a windswept Casey Fields was something far more commonplace. They turned the opening stanza between the Casey Demons and a somewhat depleted Richmond VFL into a mess of fumbling unforced errors, spilt marks and wasted opportunities for both sides but they did set up a significant win for the home team which is exactly what transpired on this Anzac Day round opener. Casey opened up strong against the breeze with the first goal to Aidan Johnson, the Tigers quickly responded and the game degenerated into a defensive slog and the teams were level when the first siren sounded.

  • POSTGAME: Richmond

After five consecutive defeats, the Demons have now notched up back-to-back victories, comfortably accounting for the Tigers in the traditional ANZAC Eve clash. They surged to a commanding 44-point lead early in the final quarter before easing off the pedal, resting skipper Max Gawn and conceding the last four goals of the game to close out a solid 20-point win.
