He plays an intellectual game, but rarely a physical one. He gets to the right positions on the ground & follows instructions well, & a lot of easy ball. thats fine as long as he goes in 7 risks his body like we expect the others to do, if not, he's not a captains jockstrap.

he hasn't got the body for a physical game, he was, with Green and Morton our best on Sat, its out of him and Green who wins the B&F. Bruce slightly in front because he's played every game

Can you imagine Yze_Magic if Bruce actually wins the B & F!!!

The closest player we have to an "A Grader". Would be there if not for his questionable kicking and his inability to kick his 1 or 2 goals each week.

who gives a rats tossbag what Y_M thinks

Rubbish,he's bigger than Brad Green, & about 10 times bigger than Robbie Flower was when he played.

Your just looking for excuses for him, he's a fair player who I picked many years ago when he was a supplementary list player for Melbourne & I thought we've got a goodin here, but he was taught poorly whilst at Melbourne.

He can still play a little bit, but nowhere near what he coodabin!

I dont want him delisted, i think he still has plenty to offer. HF link up with odd run in the midfield type player.

I just believe the captain has to be a leader of men. The guy that puts his body on the line at every oppourtunity.

Sets the tone.

Unfortunately Cam has learn`t the art of avoiding the contest and hey, with his injuries and build it`s probably a good idea.

You just can`t expect the young blokes to always GO if their leaders arn`t

The captaincy should be taken out nof the players hands. It`s not a popularity contest.

IMO it`s the coaches job

I thought he played well on the weekend and hope he keeps it up.

I don't know if this has been mentioned anywhere previously, but Bruce has played most of the year with shin splints and has at times been on crutches after a game. Anyone who has ever had this affliction knows how painfull it is. If you don't believe me, checkout the footage in the rooms at the end of a few games. It speaks volumes about his character and perhaps the other players and the coaches may take a bit more notice of that, rather than the characters on websites.

Yes well aware of all that and yes he pushes himself with sore legs. I`ve thought thats probably the reason his kicking has been so bad and haven`t commented on it because of that.

But thats not the issue here.

I don`t respect him any less because of the way he plays.I admire anyone that can play the game at the top level (except Courtney Johns)

I just don`t believe IMO he should be captain.

After sustaining a torn ACL in the final match of the 2023 season Jake added a bit to the attack late in the 2024 season upon his return. 2024 Player Reviews: #3 Christian Salem

The luckless Salem suffered a hamstring injury against the Lions early in the season and, after missing a number of games, he was never at his best. He was also inconvenienced by minor niggles later in the season. This was a blow for the club that sorely needed him to fill gaps in the midfield at times as well as to do his best work in defence. The first round draft pick at #13 from twelve months ago the strongly built medium forward has had an impressive introduction to AFL football and is expected to spend more midfield moments as his career progresses. 2024 Player Reviews: #42 Daniel Turner

The move of “Disco” to a key forward post looks like bearing fruit. Turner has good hands, moves well and appears to be learning the forward craft well. Will be an interesting watch in 2025. 2024 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver

Lack of preparation after a problematic preseason prevented Oliver from reaching the high standards set before last year’s hamstring woes. He carried injury right through the back half of the season and was controversially involved in a potential move during the trade period that was ultimately shut down by the club. BLOODY BLUES by Meggs

The conclusion to Narrm’s home and away season was the inevitable let down by the bloody Blues  who meekly capitulated to the Bombers.   The 2024 season fixture handicapped the Demons chances from the get-go with Port Adelaide, Brisbane and Essendon advantaged with enough gimme games to ensure a tough road to the finals, especially after a slew of early season injuries to star players cost wins and percentage.     As we strode confidently through the gates of Prin

2024 Player Reviews: #5 Christian Petracca

Melbourne’s most important player who dominated the first half of the season until his untimely injury in the Kings Birthday clash put an end to his season. At the time, he was on his way to many personal honours and the club in strong finals contention. When the season did end for Melbourne and Petracca was slowly recovering, he was engulfed in controversy about a possible move of clubs amid claims about his treatment by the club in the immediate aftermath of his injury.
