RL I have been too busy lately, test driving C3 1970's Corvette Stingrays. I am still searching for one with Pickett's Starsky & Hutch stripe down the middle as this would be one hell of a chick magnet car I would think based on Pickett's experiences in the 70's.

Sons of the West - weak effort.
Earl Hood replied to Bitter but optimistic's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes epic fail on this one, and after ticking every other box, hard to fathom. -
Whoops sorry Stuie, I was so taken up with the Grimes announcement I missed that Matt was one of the three delisted at the same time.
-
Where has the decision been announced? It is not on the mfc site that I can see.

I for one am happy to hear what Saty has garnered from talking directly to players. Not sure what some people's problems are with it all, it adds to our insight into what is going on down at the club. Much of the interest in this forum is about what people have heard from contacts close to the club, and of course we take it all with a grain of salt until verified by events.

King I was thinking your dad must be Ray Biffen but then you said he went to RMIT. I think Ray was a car salesman, not a student.

As a free agent I thought the club wouldn't delist him but let him move on to another club as he wished. It seems the club has judged that there are no suiters and have moved early. Am I reading that right? Otherwise poor form by us.

Did the Wikichek. Andrew is 52 so the boys have moved past father son stuff. But the gene pool was good with mum playing for the Hookyroos.

Too early to call I think. He should have had 3 before half time when it was coming into the forward line, after half time he had few opportunities. He is very young and raw, but big and strong and looks like he has clean hands, let's see how he goes next year before we start judging.

DJ how old are Jed and Mitch?

Yes has anyone seen Edelsten on the carpet yet? Usually in lime green or a bright yellow ensemble but I am more interested in his consort, how big are they this year? Brynne to Gabbie to who ? they just get bigger each year.

VFL GRAND FINAL - CASEY SCORPIONS v FOOTSCRAY BULLDOGS
Earl Hood replied to spirit of norm smith's topic in Melbourne Demons
Add Huelett he should have 3 goals. -
Amazing how a team can make up for deficiencies just by running and making it to every contest that they humanly can. GWS had all the thoroughbreds but the Doggies just wore them down.
-
Just don't let the Hawks get him, everyone.
-
More a Transition club I think, so many players are going through the front door to replace the exodus of players through the back door.

I have heard the ads on SEN about the Thai Lady Boy Gala stage show. Really will anyone show up? This was done to death in the 70's with Les Girls surely.
-
Gee I only saw him on TV, looked pretty good to me, he has played 4 games at that level so you need to cut some flack. I didn't notice him running in circles like a headless chook.

The Jesse Hogan Panic Room - all contract talk here
Earl Hood replied to Grapeviney's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yes Roger that sums it up for me. If the illness is true the Club is limited in what strategies it can employ, it really has no choice but to wait it out and see how it all pans out. Very difficult situation for the club to play hard ball. -

That says to me he is as good as Gawn! -
As I said yesterday we should be hiding him away instead of showcasing him. He looked good early but disappeared later on. He does look a likely prospect though for a rookey spot.
-
He is a keeper for me and let's work on where we can best use him. Otherwise work on an offer you can't refuse scenario.

Well it is mission accomplished as far as I am concerned Two months ago I conceived a cunning plan to derail the Hawk's 4peat campaign, they were on a 7 game winning streak, had beaten the Swans in Sydney, demolished the Tigers and had moved 2 games clear on top of the ladder and they were giving me the shytes no end. And as the wife and in-laws are all mad hawks supporters there was a high level of tension in the household every Dawks game night as I have a developed a pathological hatred for them over the years for obvious reasons. My plan was simply to place a large bet on them to win the flag. I haven't placed a bet on anything for 20 years because I have never won so much as a football club raffle in years of buying raffle tickets for local causes and as for horses or tattslotto forget it. In short I had put the "Curse of The Hood" on the team. Once the bet was laid at 4.5 to 1 in my new Sportsbet account, I found I was totally calm on game night and was quite happy for the Dawks to smash their opponents. It was quite therapeutic actually. And I really did think the Dawks were a real chance to win the flag as their main competitors were looking to be in average form. And the winnings would go toward my next project to buy a C3 corvette stingray that my wife believes is utter folly. She keeps saying it is impractical to buy a 40 year old, gas guzzling, 2 seater with barely enough luggage space to store a tennis racquet. I mean really what would she know! A few weeks later I watch the Dees beat them for the first time in 10 years, Stratton goes down, then the Weagles stitch them up and Ceglar goes down and all of a sudden the team looks old and slow but still has some fight left. And they certainly looked slow on Friday night as the Bulldogs ran all over them. Mitchell, Hodge and Gibson all seemed to be losing form over the last few weeks and they looked very human and battle scarred. Poor Clarko must have been scratching his head and the sports journo's as to what went wrong but now you all know the real reason. Looks like I will have to save a bit longer for the Corvette But please remember to gamble responsibly!

My thoughts exactly the VFL shouldn't be playing finals at a ground used for cricket. The centre wicket area and the practice wickets where Salem went down head first would be as hard as concrete. Not acceptable VFL! And it is not as if Port is some boutique stadium, it's a bit of a dump. And Oliver sling tackled Gibbon into the deck in the centre square who was holding his head in pain.

I think we should be hiding Ferrira, not showcasing him to the AFL scouts.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - DECLAN KEILTY
Earl Hood replied to Steve13's topic in Melbourne Demons
I read today how Carlton and Essendrug are into Declain etc. Why don't we have first dibs on Casey talent like the interstate clubs have first call on their academy kids? It would encourage AFL teams to align with VFL clubs if they knew they had first call on their talent, surely.
