Time to go Goody?
High performance organisations dont accept 1 season of poor performance, let alone two in a row. Strong organisations make tough calls to ensure the future can be a successful one, this clearly isn’t working, on all levels we’re declining. I’ve read all the Pros and Cons on this thread, what I struggle to understand is the pro to keep Goodwin for 2026, no team jumps from 13/14 to win the flag, even if he made finals, its unlikely we’d extend his contract, it makes zero sense to go into 2026 with Simon as coach, he’ll be sacked by mid year and we have completely wasted another trade period, draft, preseason and season. Great organisations know exactly where their list is, what the future holds and makes move to improve for the future,I think we’ll be spineless and completely wasted another trade 2026.

POSTGAME: Rd 17 vs Adelaide
That’s poor coaching though, you need to work with what you have, he’s been here 9 years….. let me say that again 9 years, we haven’t been able to score under Goodwin for a long time, 2018, 2021, apart from that we have always been a terrible scoring team, good on D but so unreliable infront of goal. Either we get a senior assistant in to run the midfield / forward connection or we move Goodwin on, this CANNOT go on in 2026, I [censored] hate watching my football team play…..

Time to go Goody?
I think after 9 years the players have had enough of the manager, it happens to even the best coaches, who hasn’t had a long term manager, who has thought, I am sick and tired of listening to the [censored] clown. Goodwin has always had his favourites, he’s played guys when they are out of form, rushes them back from injury, that’s why all our depth has left since the flag, they weren’t getting a fair crack at senior footy. The message and game plan is old news, a new voice is needed, that was evident last year, this year has just confirmed it for the Goody defendants. We need to make a move and make it this year otherwise we’re in a deeper hole when Max, May and Melky don’t have the motivation to go around again, Pendles and Sidebottom were written off as too old before Fly was employed. Dare to dream and take a chance MFC, we’re only 3 spots off 18, it can’t get much worse, but it could get a hell of a lot better….

Time to go Goody?
It appears the club is steadfast on continuing with Simon, I do believe it is time for Mr Nice Guy Goodwin to put the blowtorch on some of the over paid senior players, he calls friends, at years end, there needs to be some list changes to help him: Players to be offered up for trade: pole position- J.Lever (injury prone and so out of form) C.Oliver (just get what you can and get him off the books) C.Salam B.Fritsch (I don’t think a single team mate would miss his selfishness) C.Spargo Coaches changes: employ a senior assistant to help from the box if he stays on the ground A strategy coach to teach forward defense and teach our forwards to lead back to the ball for easy marks A strategy coach for ball movement into the F50 Choco messaging early has been lost for the past 4/5 years, a fresh voice is required Bring in an experienced director of football to challenge Simon and the assistants, Richo hasn’t done enough over the past 4 years I had to turn the TV off after 1/2 time, were so unenjoyable to watch, we miss easy kicks, fumble and continue to kick behinds

Was brutally honest In the survey- Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement
- The Psychological Filth
The pies targeted Ed Langdon because he said they were “all duck no dinner”. Petracca shook Maynard’s hand and tapped him on the bum after knocking Brayshaw out and he was medically retired. Taking off my red and blue coloured glasses, that was the weakest, most spineless response by a professional team I can remember. If Tom McDonald knocked out Pendles, he would have been hit all game. if you continue to stand for nothing, you become nothing. 2021 with “selfless” the next three years was selfish.- POSTGAME: Rd 24 vs Collingwood
- Draft or Recruit
It’s need to be both. We did that so well to get the 21 premiership, you simply cannot go all draft or all trade. the last three years our lift has continued to get worse, it needs to massively improve this year, get it right Tim Lamb, or fall on your sword and get someone else capable.- Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
Nibbler leaving is not on Lamb, finding a better replacement or even matching nibbler is on Lamb. Personally since 2021, our list has continued to get worse, our trade in replacements haven’t worked and have made us a lesser team,- Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
The scary thing is we continue to let talent leave the club and we’re not bettering or even matching that talent level. All our role players and depth has left I.e Bedford, hunt, pig retiring, Jordan, Jetta retiring, Jones retiring, Guy retiring, LJ leaving. if the club continues to let Tim Lamb decimate the playing list by not replacing experienced players, we’ll continue to be bottom 4 and fighting with Tassie like we did with GC and GWS. this is [censored] depressing….- Farewell Alex Neal-Bullen
- Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement
It appears that Gus was our spiritual leader within the club (I.e. Selwood to the cats). I really hope that the sports psychologists are heavily involved with the team, we certainly cannot replace Gus, but the team certainly needs to work through not having him within the 4 walls of the club.- POSTGAME: Rd 20 vs GWS

- POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs North Melbourne
Plenty of other teams have lost their best player and still been competitive. Look at our forward pressure over the past 5 weeks, opposition teams just stroll out now under zero pressure, out of the bottom 15 players on the field tonight 10 were Melbourne against a team that has won one game this year. - MFC Membership Survey 5 Words
