Jaguar Re-Signs for 2020
If the Ranger didn't sell, Ford would be in a much worse position than Holden. It's the only car they can sell.

How the feck they got Membrey as an A Grader?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
Sounds like it will be down to who has the best to offer when it comes to medical and conditioning. How do we compare to Saints in that department?

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BENNELL
I'm sure the club have asked the same question. I'm trusting the necessary due dilligence has been completed and they have weighed up the risks.

Agree with most of this re Frost unfortunately.

Has only met with us personally by the sounds of it. The ball is well and truly in our court now.

Fully expected it to read "Sorry Kids", so was actually surprised.

Joel Smith Puts Luckless Year Behind Him
I really rate this bloke. He looked unstoppable against Brisbane before he limped off. DIdn't he kick 5 or 6?
-
Jack Martin
Interestingly Hogan and Martin both were selected in the 'mini-draft" with GC picking Martin with their first pick and us taking Hogan with pick two.

Jack Martin
Surely isn't after more than what Elliot was asking.

Jack Steven
A certain off field 'incident' happened between the two players which resulted in Jack Steven refusing to even train with Sinclair, which is why he refused to even turn up for training. PM me if you want to know the rumour, but I have strong mail from I guy I work with who connected to him.

Jack Steven
Desparately wanted out because of Jack Sinclair. Was either that or he walked.

Angus Brayshaw to Fremantle Rumours
I wasn't aware of any back issues. Where was this written?

Sam Murray
Most of my mates are pies fans, so I watch quite a few of their games. I was always impressed with Murray and rated him higher than Maynard for them. Would happily take him.

Brendan McCartney on SEN
Focus? More irony as you seem to have focused on the throwaway comment in my post and completely ignored my point! You are either judging his entire tenure at Melbourne off one horrible year where there seems to be multiple extrenuating circumstances or you are just trolling. I suspect it's the latter, so I'm not responding on this again.

Brendan McCartney on SEN
I disagree completely. Several years of linear improvement and a prelim with one terrible year seems like a pretty good result if you ask me. You may as well sack everyone in the club if you want to apply that logic.
-
Brendan McCartney on SEN
He definitely didn't give me that impression at all. Seemed extremely humble on his time at the Dees and didn't have a bad word to say about anyone at the club. I find the irony amusing that most of your posts are closer to your description of Brendan.

Demons Re-Sign Corey Wagner?
I don't mind Corey and I think in a performing side he would be similar in terms of usefulness to Hannan last year. As for Josh Wagner, I have him firmly in my delist box.

Unacceptably, unbelievably abhorrent
I read this article this morning and agreed with most of it. I'm fairly optimistic for next year as I believe it was a perfect storm of bad luck and poor preparation that landed us here.

Official Delistings?
That worked well when we offloaded James McDonald if I recall.

Official Delistings?
Josh Wagner for the love of God.

What gives you hope for next season?
Back end of the year we had clearly adjusted our style of play to try and hold possession and slow it down. You could tell the players just weren't comfortable with it and it looked slow and cumbersome. Overhauling a game plan mid year when you've already had the confidence sucked out of you from losing is basically like pissing in the wind. In some ways I guess it's better than experimenting on each other for the first time next pre season, so maybe that's a silver lining. I'm of the belief that with a few decent pick ups and hopefully a full pre season we will turn it around. I just worry we don't have the cattle to run this game style. If we find a balance between crash & bash and possession footy maybe we can bounce back strong, because I don't think we can overly favour one style over the other. I'm optimistic every year despite the torture.

Any chance you can paste the whole article? Paywall unfortunately.

Would you have Lyon in a Neil Balme type role?
