  1. I'd like to see Hoges in for Oscar. Possibly Wagner for Milkshake.
  2. What is good about this post is that there are so many players in contention.
  3. Meanwhile, looking at the performance of some other players : it's great to see the skills of Jones when he is tag-free and can be creative and I really dig the way Frost plays too.
  4. Kent annoys me. Despite his miracle goal from the boundary last week his kicking for goal is atrocious. He demands to be picked and when he is picked it is as a goal kicker but then he misses far, far too many simple shots on goal. Every time he plays. I reckon reward goal kickers with a game the following week and fine them when they miss set shots from 30 metres out. That's their job: they are picked in the team and paid to KICK GOALS. It's no good getting heaps of the pill if they cannot do the deed.
  5. Last few years this pre-season stuff has been the best part of our year! It always throws up interesting scenarios - so, players who have been considered in this thread : Garland. He was in my first players picked 2 or 3 years back but he has peaked and and doesn't seem to know what to do with the footy, is not a creative player Trenners. He's just a bit too slow. ANB. Knows how to kick a goal but doesn't really bring much to the table. Kennedy. Same old same old. Lacks the finishing touch. JKH. Let's see if he can stop getting caught all the time and be a player. He seems to be a split second away from being dynamite. Jetta. Crucial to our run out of the backline and a real shut-down player. Tough, fearless and inspiring Tyson. No way Pablo. This guy works hard. look at the replays and you will see just how important a contributor he is. What I am looking forward to seeing is the pickups from Essendrug, Melksham and Hibberd.
  6. All good on the Bugg thread. Can someone fill me in on Hibberd and Melksham please?
  7. Throws up all kinds of combinations, this one. So for the entertainment value I have picked a side with characters, flair and ability. It's not conventional but would be a lot of fun to watch : B A Johnson Biffin Whelan HB Don Williams Neitz Hardeman C Flower Wells Alves HB Robbo Schwarter Hassa Mann F Davey Jakovich Lyon R O'Dwyer Barassi Todd Viney Inter Jurrah Yeats Gerard Healy The Wiz and allowing myself 3 more - Jimmy Grinter Stinger Seen them all play. Loved them all. It's not a balanced side but it isn't really meant to be
  8. Try ad be objective and not so defensive. Seriously, we do not have an A-grader in our midfield. I love Jonesy and young Viney and there is loads of potential which I am Salivating at the prospect of seeing develop but at least Treloar and Pendlebury have the stats to back up Champion Data
