2024 Phantom Drafts
To be fair not many of us have the time. The majority of us on here (myself included) and basing our opinions purely on highlight reels.

Welcome to Demonland: Xavier Lindsay
I just watched his BOG performance during the VM v VC match, would hardly call that elite kicking. Gets plenty of it but a lot of kicks to contests, not necessarily to his teammates advantage, also one into the man in the mark, a scrubber and a handball straight to the opposition. A missed opportunity when going inside fwd 50 when he went long to a contest and could have centred it. Two or three nice kicks to open up the play and one to a leading fwd but a big call to call him an elite kick. Just my thoughts on a 6 minute highlights clip.

Welcome to Demonland: Pick 9
Who has concerns over his kicking? Edit : I missed your earlier post. From his highlights his kicking wasn’t too bad.

2024 Phantom Drafts
Ok, was able to find it, it simply read “North Melbourne is understood to have knocked back the Crows offer of pick 4 and 2 future 3rd selections for pick 2”. Chris Cavanagh & Matt Turner (I took a screenshot but file was apparently to big to upload)

A highly regarded news source….FB🤦🏼♂️ I follow a lot of AFL pages, can’t remember which one it was.

The Finn O’Sullivan Thread
I’m going to have rewatch what I just watched then. I just watched his highlights for the first time and would have his disposal & vision to put a teammate in a better position ahead of Jagga Smith. No doubt Jagga is elusive around the stoppage but his disposal is hardly elite.

If that’s how it played out I’d rather take Tauru than Smith.

The AFL 2025 Fixture
The biggest loser of our fixture is the bombers who have our 2025 1st rd pick.

2024 Phantom Drafts
Just read on FB that Voss to Adelaide this week to meet with Draper. Blues are apparently really keen.

Assuming we keep 5 & 9, who are you picking?
I don’t think too many on here consider themselves experts. We’re just mug punters who have watched a handful of u tube clips and have an opinion, an addiction to the game and the MFC. A few would have watched some games live but the majority don’t have the time.

Assuming we keep 5 & 9, who are you picking?
Strongly agree & reluctantly agree.

Assuming we keep 5 & 9, who are you picking?
Get this kid to the club.

Assuming we keep 5 & 9, who are you picking?
Just rewatched a Smith and Langford highlight reel, Langford every day of the week. For some reason I watch Smith and can’t help but think he’s a newer model of Caleb Daniel.

The AFL 2025 Fixture
From a self interest perspective Thursday night games are hard for interstate members to travel to. So much easier to just take the Friday or the Monday off and make a long weekend of it rather than having to take the 2 days off.

The AFL 2025 Fixture
We played poorly last year and will receive a fixture worthy of that with limited prime time games. We need to take advantage of a potential easier draw as we still have the talent to be a top 4 team.

The Drums are starting to beat for North
The 9 games a week generates enough now for the competition to remain sustainable and at the top. How much of that extra money goes to propping up the two teams, does it effectively cancel each other out? There are no benefits to the other clubs or their supporters. We will be at 19 clubs for years and the rolling bye that comes with it. The talent pool further diluted with more blow out games. The finals system will eventually change as well. The continual rule changes, it just never ends. The game is slowly being destroyed from the inside.

Pending Announcement
Why was it removed? Because people were offended?

The Drums are starting to beat for North
We’re at 18 now and it’s working just, it’s the right number for the population to grow into, plus there’s no chance the AFL will go backwards. No one ideally wants to see an older club fold but I’d rather that than a 19 or 20 team competition. Two teams is enough for NSW, WA, NSW & QLD, I didn’t initially agree with the Suns & Giants but I could see what the AFL were trying to do plus they’re in place and nothing will change that. Yes Tasmania deserves a team but they will not be without their problems, player retention being the big one, you cant argue for cost of living. Folding a Melbourne based team for Tasmania rounds out the competition nicely. I live in Sydney but don’t follow the NRL in any capacity, my friends that do hate the rolling bye, it’s a stupid idea and doesn’t work on any level. The NRL are looking to bring in an 18th team in coming years to even up the competition, how long would we be stuck on 19 for? We only have to look at the AFLW to see what happens when you’ve expanded too quickly. 19 teams and a bye every week or 20 teams with the talent pool diluted even further, wow what a choice for the fans of the game. There’s enough blow out games at the moment without adding to that. What are the benefits of a 19th & 20th team?

The Sid Draper Thread
His kicking is a highlight, kicks to a teammate’s advantage not just an up and under merchant.

That would be madness.
