Sure I heard this right....including this weekend there's only nine games left for the rest of the season involving top 8 sides playing each other. This week has cats v swans and Eagles v north. That leaves seven for the remainder of the season. Unfortunately we're in for some ordinary viewing somewhere.

I know it takes more than one decision to shape a game but some of these interpretations and out of control.

I'll call it now, he won't be at the club next year. Look who is currently not playing, it's great he'll get his 100 games and in all honesty I hope he plays well but his time at the club is up. Even if he's offered a contract it won't guarantee him a game. At his age he's best of making the switch to another club.

If Tmac had already signed would Dunn be playing instead of Oscar? I would of thought we play Frost all of this year in defence along with Dunn and Tmac, then next year phase out Dunn for Oscar. That to me makes more sense. Pav has the smarts but his body isn't what it used to be.

I missed that, will have a read through. Whilst Frost is making some mistakes he is also doing some good things. He needs to be left there to settle and develop his game, he's still young and raw.

Surely....hopefully....Frost remains in defence.

How do you see the make up of the back six next year with regards to how many talls? Also in your earlier post you mentioned if we were able to land Hurley the club could look at the possibility of trading out Tmac to free up space in the salary cap, just a thought (and it is 4.30 in the morning) if we were to move on at years end Dawes/Grimes (both out of contract) Dunn (1 year remaining?) Garland (2 years remaining) could we then have Hurley/Tmac/Frost as our KPD and Oscar as depth? Hurley and Tmac would be on good coin whilst the other two on the average (whatever that is) Besides Jones/Vince/Hogan I am struggling to see who is taking up all our salary cap? H? Melksham? Considering the bulk of our talent is young I think we could make that work by front loading some players contracts.

How about the Saints that played Geelong last week? We'll know soon enough as he will be up for trade at years end. Changing lists doesn't guarantee him a game.

Saints? Why not the Bulldogs as well? Wouldn't fit the Saints. I think he might go to another club but he's no certainty to play.

If Grimes played rounds 1 & 2 and the club got the 100 out of the way early would we still be having this conversation? The Sydney game was the obvious inclusion if he was to play. With 8 rounds to go if the coaches have no intention of playing him regardless of the circumstances,do the right thing and put him out of his misery, by the looks of the photo he (Jack) believes he is a week to week chance.

Yes Chris I read what you wrote. But out of those left who's contracts expire at years end we have : Watts : All but put pen to paper. Hogan/Tmac : Already have their own threads regarding this. Too big a signing to hold off on announcing. Grimes : Gone but same as above. Kent and Dawes : No idea I get your point, same as when Petracca made his debut and Trengove broke back into the side, they're drip feeding us hope. I just didn't think it warranted a new thread.

Interesting point.... How much of Oscar getting games is because of his brothers pending signature and how much because of his ability/talent/potential. Where now for Garland? If he's on base rate (whatever that is) does he stay/we keep him as depth? Or does he look elsewhere? Would anyone else take him?

Is there a game on?.... North will beat the Eagles next week, but both teams will be bundled straight out of the finals. Mindset....teams still don't get it.
