  1. Really liked his game Wadda. His 5 metre hit-out to a running Oliver from the centre was sublime to set up Spargo for a goal in the second quarter. He’s isn’t too bad at getting boot to ball quickly, noticed a couple of times he cleared the danger from half back by thinking quickly. Haircut not too shabby either.
  2. Can imagine the post mortem on here if that was us losing like that. Taberner should’ve just punched the ball forward about 20 meters rather than that little dinky pretend fumble over the line. Personally, it was a soft down the field free. The confusion for me, is the kick taken from where the ball lands or from where it actually crosses the boundary line? At first glance the ball looked like it crossed the line where the 50m line joins the boundary. The ball travelled 5 plus meters after going out. If they man the mark at the 50 in no way does Newnes kick that.
  3. Too happy to post anything of substance. Cheers everyone, Go Dees!
  4. Marathon man steps up , what a goal !
  5. Front and centre to a tee. Our boy Spargo
  6. Loving Preuss right now ...some sort of game
  7. Crisp ball movement and willing to stretch them across the ground. Lovely start
  8. Like some others, Rivers and Hannan unlucky. Thought Hannan was really good early against North. Congrats to Salem and good luck to him in his 100th.
  9. Amazing how Kozzie controlled that ball with one hand for the goal. Magic stuff.
  10. Didn’t mind it personally, thought the opening was great and makes us feel connected as supporters while they are flying all over the country. It’s pretty much how most of us felt after the Port debacle. Season back on track is by no means job done, that was just the first step.
  11. Yeah insane, listening to the game through Blue Jackets radio. Lol, over 130 shots on goal so far not including the wide of net shots. Was hoping to catch Hawks game before work, looks like I’ll be recording and watching very late tonight.
  12. I get tired just watching him play. Amazing endurance, don’t think I’ve ever seen him with hands on knees.
  13. Hawks might have a say in that Cards ?. Looking forward to our series starting a little later. We have some top liners with a wealth of playoff experience, is that enough to see us through? Not sure. I think our key is Crawford, needs to have a huge series. Our problem wasn’t scoring during the regular season, allowing a lot of shots on goal against was. We got the mix right against the Oilers but new ball game now.
  14. Pleasing to see Hibbo in some great form the last few weeks. Seems to have slowed his game down a bit and is making smart decisions with ball in hand. Thought he was really solid last night with some important rebounds.
  15. 6. Petracca 5. Oliver 4. Brayshaw 3. Lever 2. Hibberd 1. Weideman
  16. Thought Jonesy had a ripper quarter with some nice goal assists.
  17. That’s how you respond after getting dropped. Well done Hannan, great attack on the ball.
  18. @Dannyz 2/2 the last week. Good work. The ANB inclusion well before Crows game and Melksham to captain as posted on Friday.
  19. I simply cannot get over the fact Malthouse is a spitting image of my father.
  20. Amazing Max hasn’t decked an opponent yet. Just shows his professionalism putting up with utter garbage like that. It’s been happening for the last few years. Players instructed to go at him. Remember Steele giving Max one in the kidneys in 2018 on his way to contesting a boundary throw in just to mention one example.
  21. It’s farcical. How many other sports change or amend rules during the season? The AFL got its wish of Burgoyne being the last player to avoid suspension for a dangerous tackle. Hocking made an urgent amendment to the rule back in June and he stated they are pulling it back to the action not the outcome. We are not measuring it on whether a player gets straight up or is concussed he said. What a load of manure! How do we expect players to adjust when rules are made up on the fly? The game is so complicated already. Danger went into bat for Burgoyne back then, saying it was hard for Burgoyne to know where the ball was because players are taught to play on instinct. ANB’s tackle looked bad, hope the Crows kid is doing ok, but in my mind it wasn’t intentional at all. Sheesh...ANB post game even stated he thought he was getting a free for holding the ball it all happened so fast. Not holding my breath on players being suspended for the action from now on.
