Brownlow Medal 2021
Not only that, midfielders who accumulate a lot of the ball tend to win it. Neale, Tom Mitchell and now Wines are all very good players but Iâd argue that there are others who have a lot more of an impact on games than these players.

Brownlow Medal 2021
I hate Channel Seven so much. Their attempt to attract non-football fan viewers by showing âhighlightsâ such as a ball bouncing off the head of a player is down right embarrassing.

GF Umpires
I donât want to know his name, I just know he is number 22 and heâs awful. Honestly, I couldnât tell you many other umpires but he is one who just seems to always make the wrong call.

Brownlow Medal 2021
Not surprised Cunnington got the three against us, we no answer for him.

Brownlow Medal 2021
I still maintain that Salem was the best on ground by some margin in the Richmond game. To only get one vote is laughable.

PODCAST: Gary Pert Pre-Grand Final Interview
Love if you could ask whatâs the biggest difference Gary has seen in how the team is performing from 2020 to 2021.

Brownlow Medal 2021
I really hate they donât actually talk about each game before each round, even briefly.

Brownlow Medal 2021
Massive secondhand embarrassment watching that band. What an awful song choice.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
I canât stress enough how good this is, well worth a listen where I learned a lot about Oliver:

Weâre missing it - a place to vent
I hate the fact that the Grand Final is always played at the MCG. It should be either rotated like the NFL or home/top team gets it. Therefore, the fact that itâs in Perth doesnât bother me at all. The only thing I hate is I had no chance of going, but at the end of the day my team is still playing in a Grand Final at an amazing venue.

Pre-Grand Final Match Simulation
Iâm just so excited to see us play in a Geand Final. I was way more nervous last week.

Redbacks?
The Bulldogs should be wearing their white jumper anyway.
-
Medals for All?
But they did contribute to the real thing, they contributed towards the team making it to the Grand Final which is the hardest part. Someone started a good thread about this the other day:

GRAND FINAL: Melbourne vs Western Bulldogs
I think we will win because we are a better team. Anything can happen on the day but we deserve to be favourites.
-
Redbacks?
2015 was my reference, Iâd forgotten that the royal blue jumper wasnât West Coastâs home jumper that year. Geelong and Sydney being in so many Grand Finals muddies the water because Geelong offen wear white shorts home and Sydney often wear red shorts away.
-
Redbacks?
No the team that finished higher on the ladder is the âhomeâ team.

Jake Melksham
Iâm surprised heâs only 30, heâs really lost a lot of pace.

It makes zero difference to me.

To Hell & Back
Around about the 23 minute mark is when they talk about the draft (what we now know as a super a draft) and I always remember Alan Richardson saying we should take Jackson.

Sam Weideman re-signs until 2023
We often see players leave clubs to chase success, would Weideman prefer to stay at a good club with less opportunity of be the main man at a bad club?

Premiership Players
This is something that I have believed for many years but it's never really been of relevance to Melbourne. It may still not be if we lose the Grand Final but it's something that I believe strongly in. All players who play in a premiership team during the year should be regarded as "Premiership Players". I've heard a few people mention it in the media recently and Angus Brayshaw brought it up on the latest Gus & Gawny podcast in relation to Nathan Jones. At the end of the day, premierships aren't just won on Grand Final day and there needs to be recognition of all players who helped contribute to the success. It doesn't mean that all players necessarily receive a premiership medallion, but there does need to be something to acknowledge them.

Thanks Jonesy - Retirement
If we do win the flag I fear that he will resent it.

Thanks Jonesy - Retirement
Critically underrated legend of our club. For me, part of the gloss of making the Grand Final has been taken off from him not being there as I firmly believe he offers just as much as Jordon as the sub. Having said that, he made the right decision to be home for the birth of his twins regardless. Thank you, Nathan. You are a bloody star.

Training Ground?
Wherever the new training base is, it should be named after Nathan Jones.

Iâm still laughing at this.
