And Melbourne had a passage where they received about three very soft free kicks to pad out the numbers. I'm not annoyed from a Melbourne perspective, I'm annoyed that in a national league there can be so much bias in umpiring at certain grounds, even after the media had exposed this.

He's run into two open goals (granted it was good effort to get into those positions) but he throws the ball into the air and kicks it like a 10 year old and he can't mark above his head.

Supporting Melbourne.

He's quick, but I can't see much else to get excited about. He and Tom McDonald have come from the Cameron Bruce school of kicking and it will severely impact the likelihood of them playing AFL football within a year or two.
-
No one will mention the unevenness of the umpiring in this game because it involves Melbourne, but it has been nothing short of disgraceful. Case in point that free kick against Tapscott.
-
I've never been as depressed about a Melbourne side as this one. It's as if we opted for crêpe paper instead of bricks and mortar with our last rebuild.
-
Our ball winners butcher it and our more skillful players don't know how to get it. Melbourne in a nutshell.
-
Watts should just go play basketball, that's not a knock on they guy, he just isn't suited to the AFL. If only the Melbourne Tigers could trade draft picks.
-
He and McKenzie are very slow of foot and of mind. McKenzie may as well just yell out that he is going to handpass the way he telegraphs it.
-
That is the worst deliberate out of bounds I've seen. The crowd may as well have the whistle in their mouths.
-
Grimes gets his out-on-the full for the game.
-
He just doesn't get it or have it. I doubt he ever will.
-
Nathan Jones, you star.
-
The umpires are going to make the home crowd very happy.
-
Neitz fell into his back to give away the free kick, I remember it well.
-
I've been saying this for years, there is a difference between deliberately trying to lose (tanking) and winning not being your top priority. Matthews has just confirmed this.

Chris Connolly was just on 774 talking about how every club missed Darling in the draft. No doubt he had Lucas Cook in mind when he was saying it. -
I'm leaning towards believing it simply because most of the team is weak and unfit.
-
There was a thread recently talking about how stressed they are, now I see why.

Thanks for that, I'd not seen it before. That "sense of urgency" line made me smile, it should be tattooed to Watts' forehead.
-
Also for those who can watch it but choose not to because King and Lynch are useless, thanks.
-
Maybe he can teach them run and carry?

Re-read everything I have written. It's very simple.

I never said that, I'm just saying that getting the two sponsors wasn't such a great bonus as much as it was a necessity considering the situation.

The only issue I have with Schwab and sponsors is that he came on here and was particularly bullish about the EnergyWatch deal. Even before the racial rants of Polis were revealed, there was always something dodgey about EnergyWatch with ACCC investigations and the fact that they were sponsoring so many sporting clubs for a small company was a concern. Then of course the mysterious Chinese sponsor never eventuated. Therefore, Schwab had no choice but to get two sponsors in a month, and it must be said that the value of these sponsorships has never been revealed.
