  1. I started this thread before the last quarter on the weekend when emotions were high and the extent of all injuries was not clear, below are my revised changes. Out: Bail, Spencer, M. Jones, Stretch, Salem (inj) In: Hogan, Jamar/Gawn, Riley, Watts, Newton Dawes and Howe both very lucky as they were putrid on the weekend, but I would like to see Howe go forward to stretch the backline of the Bulldogs. I still believe that Toumpas will not be on an AFL list come the end of the year, but the least we can do is give him an extended run and as others have mentioned see if he can fill the void Salem has left.
  2. Finally learning how to tackle?
  3. FB: Jetta T. McDonald Dunn HB: Lumumba Frost Salem C: Vince Viney vandenBerg HF: Kent Pedersen Watts FF: Garlett Hogan JKH Foll: Jamar N. Jones Tyson Int: Cross Brayshaw Newton Garland Emergency: Dawes Gawn Howe Added in Garland at the expense of Howe who is playing like Frawley did last year but with his talent should be a top 10 player.
  4. Total accident, I didn't mean to leave him out.
  5. I think Luke Beveridge deserves a lot of credit, I never rated McCarntney as a senior coach.
  6. Why? He's a gun player I wrote that, but I think he could have been even better at Melbourne if he stayed with that list at the time.

  8. There were lots of things, but what really stood out to me was we tackled them and they could still dispose of the ball. They tackled us and we just coughed it up or fell over.
  9. I don't think Thompson has been as good at Adelaide as he was tracking to be at Melbourne. Still very good, but he was really something special in 2004 before getting injured.
  10. Fair call, I'm not sure how I missed that.
  11. I would add in delist as many spuds as possible and actually recruit decent players to that as well.
  12. End of 2004.
  13. In the end we got Moloney for him I think. Whilst Thompson was always be better than Moloney, in a situation where a very good player wants to leave, to at least get Moloney out of the deal was pretty good.
  14. Before the round 1 game I was fairly confident becuase of the team that was selected (on record here with that). Essentially there was no M. Jones, Grimes, Toumpas, Bail, Spencer, Terlich and so on. Sadly, with just a few injuries our depth is tested to the extreme and as we lose more and more players we fall away very quickly. Our round 1 team would not have won today, but they would have been far more competitive than what was on offer today.
  15. We essentially had that but used them on players like Morton, Watts, Maric, Cook, Gysberts, Toumpas, Blease, Strauss, Tapscott and Trengove.
  16. Out: Dawes, Bail, Toumpas, Spencer, M. Jones, Howe, Stretch, Salem (inj) In: Hogan, Viney, Jetta, Jamar/Gawn, ANB, Watts, JKH, Newton EDIT: Forgot about Salem injury.
  17. I'm incredibly jealous of the Hawthorn supporters around us who spend all their time complaining about Matt Suckling.
  18. Toumpas and Bail have been good.
  19. Mitchell is killing us, should that mark to Hale have been paid?
  20. I tend to agree with this. I expect to see a much stronger side against the Bulldogs (Jetta and Viney will help).
  21. In: Michie, Jones, Bail, Grimes Out: Pedersen, Watts, Newton, Kennedy-Harris
