Rally at Gosch's Paddock - Pre Queens Birthday Round
Satyriconhome replied to Longsufferingnomore's topic in Melbourne Demons
Not positive old chap, just supporting the Club, and not beating myself up over something I have no control over whatsoever -
Well bloody said, what I have been saying, let them put up or shut the [censored] up
-
I put WYL in every post that doesn't involve WYL, because I know WYL that you read the posts, and the fact that I post WYL irritates you.........you seem to have a lot of hate in you WYL.........not an emotion I have much contact with, perhaps it's the well rounded personally satisfying life I have led
-
Again whoa........hopefully you are a veteran, like lots of things, there is sadly a small minority who have suffered and thankfully the government is getting better at looking after them, brought on by a bit more knowledge and actually listening to them, I know coz I know one as well....this topic certainly exposes the inner psyche of some posters and goes some way to explaining why they post what they do
-
Eeeekkkk....even worse, you are a conspiracy theorist...........I know why Pakistan was created, studied it at school. By the way your staff is responsible for keeping the company sustainable, a mistake a lot of bosses make, you just point them in the right direction (hopefully) Can see why you post like you do now......"borders on screaming"....eeekkk again Again back on topic, so let's see some action on your part, get your petition and let me see what it advocates and why and I will look at signing if I agree
-
You ever going to bother answering other posters posts, or just snipe away like this
-
Wow, you have no idea do you, yes men, robotized............... Suggest you read up on the history of Afghanistan and Nth Pakistan. Anyway a question on this.. thought you said you were an employer, do you allow your employees to disagree with you if you make a wrong decision and not carry it out....honest answer please The Ox is not brave, he made a statement, anybody can make a statement, as long as you don't have to back it up and it won't impact him personally Come one then where is the petition you have organised to overthrow the board, or you waiting for the Ox to do it, if so you will be waiting a very long time. Obviously you don't read or comprehend my posts clearly, bit like WYL really, I am not happy Jan, but there is a guy called Peter Jackson who has been brought in to review and fix anything that needs fixing, I am waiting to see what he says needs fixing
-
Try again, it is not a half, 10 posters on here against 30000+\ 40 years, the Club last played finals 6 years ago not 40, stop looking over the shoulder
-
Everybody was right about Scully, is there anyone who didn't think he was going to leave, only Tom Scully knows the real reason he left, like everything else it is specualtion
-
Rumour rumour rumour, let's start a rumour.....trying to justify the small coterie of haters posting in this topic.......
-
I thought you didn't read my posts, puerile personal insult again, just about sums you up really doen't it, can't even do it with a bit of style
-
So what you are saying is the Ox has sour grapes and is kicking the Club he loves,, sounds a bit Moloneyesque wouldn't you think, and bloody sad
-
Nobody is actually disagreeing with that, it is the fact that he stated it, it is all about him at the moment, keeping his head in the news and keeping his radio program on air, bloody sad he would sink that low, he supposedly supports the Club, would hate to see what he would say if he didn't The issue on this board is if posters like myself don't agree with the "sack everybody' crowd, we seem to be endorsing, we are not, I sat bloody miserably through 2 hours last week, but I could see the effort improving, I can see small signs, I have no idea whether Neeld/the players/the Footy Dept/the Board are responsible singly or collectively or for what part etc I am all for change, if change is warranted and the change will work, I am not in a position to change anything, but we have brought in a highly experienced CEO who can change, so I am willing to wait and see what he does, I may question what he does, but I will support coz it is his job We all know exactly where we are, we don't need the Ox joining in pointing it out, and 50000 topics on this board saying the same thing, let's just support the team through this to whatever eventuates
-
Er Hardwick is 4 years in, Brad Scott is 3 years in...building a list.. Lyon is 2 years in, after inheriting a good team, Watters is 2 years in and is sliding I take it you do follow the footy? I must have misread a lot of posts on here as well, you said our list is not bad at all, I must reread the match reports from this season and the three word analysis topic
-
It is you that consistently displays that, as well as your general offensiveness, nice to see you are now using old chap as well, I am flattered you said they hadn't hardly missed out on finals in last 25 years, I was pointing out a run of 3 years where they didn't, thought that was enough to refute your argument You are part of a small group on here that thinks they are the only ones that know anything worth knowing about footy, no sorry, you're not, but continue to post and shoot yourself in the foot
-
2001, 2002, 2003, er 10 years ago chap
-
Wow, wow and wow.........forgot the medication this morning did we? At least you gave me laugh, listen to what Brad Scott said yesterday, now there is an ex player who speaks straight from the hip
-
Then when is the Ox gonna nominate for the Board? There are 33000 members, is that regarded as few? They support the team We have a new CEO who will recommend and implement changes, we don't need Ox, supposedly who bleeds red and blue, stoking the fire If and when Peter Jackson carries out his actions, and if one of them includes sacking Mark Neeld, you will then find the few will support this, may not be happy, but support, coz they support the Club By the way your definition of 'guts' seems a little skewed, guys fighting in Afghanistan have it, the Ox typing on a computer, taking cheap shots doesn't
-
You could ask the same about the Hawthorn fans, there were two Victorian teams playing. We have 33000 members, on average about 15000 regularly attend games at the G, I know I asked, except for the big games like the QB, so it was probably a 50/50 split. We lose money if the attendance is less than 20000
-
Exactly, some of us on here get bagged for looking through rose coloured glasses, a lot of the supporters do that with the Ox, yes he was a great player and yes I still regard him as such, but he is now a media personality and a lot of what he does is driven by this. He is not doing a lot around the Club, get over it, he had one meeting with Don McLardy and one session with the 1st year players, that is it, I asked him to come and do the ring around trying to get new members, nothing, hence my first post with the comparison to the action "another club champion' Robbie Flower took If you support the Club you support the incumbents, if he doesn't like the Board then let's see him get a ticket together and put forward some ideas, let's see what he has got, not just bagging the club, At the moment it is like the minority on this board. sack everybody, without putting forward viable alternatives....yet when it comes to the AGM or letting the club know their feelings, they sit on their hands because it would mean coming out from behind the online keyboards. Where was the Ox five years ago, yes we all now disparage Gary Lyon, but at least he put his hand up And one more, Barassi, if you cut him he would bleed red and blue, yet not one word of criticism, just support If you are going to the footy to hope your team lose, then you really do need help, that is just sad
-
That is my point, why do it, sour grapes again?
-
No he won't haven't seen him back since he talked to Don McLardy
-
Stuie, who told you that, he came in once to see Don McLardy and made sure everybody knew, never heard he is mentoring forwards and never seen him doing it, he came in once to talk to 1st yr players re the perils of gambling etc, he does that as a job as well Two great players for MFC, Robbie Flower and the Ox, one came in to chat and encourage the volunteers who were ringing around trying to get members to re sign, the other wrote an article hoping the team he supposedly loves gets smashed, which one would you call a Club champion?
-
Chemical Ali, that's a good one, I thought you were the one that was actually displaying behaviour that could suggest you are under the influence of pharmaceuticals, told you before WYL ain't going anywhere whilst you and your ilk post on this board The sky is not falling WYL, you don't have to put your finger in the dyke, and it is just a large friendly dog at the door Didn't say you were negative about Peter Jackson, said you were a negative nellie, read WYL read, you must really miss Rangey, you pop ur head up above the parapet and there is nobody there with you, although I must say Rangey used to duck way before you did, perhaps your reflexes are a bit slow The media, there were 3 pages in the AGE yesterday that said exactly the same thing that the previous 15 they have published did I am not blind to reality, although I must say in my advanced years and in a certain light, some of the players look really good, I just prefer to listen just to the people that actually matter and try and put another viewpoint against the barrage of negativity that a small minority of posters bombard this board with. Peter Jackson has made one public statement up to now, so let's wait for the next one and not listen to what the media said he said or did on Monday I will be walking to the G, and I agree everybody should, I'll hold hands with anybody that wants to
-
Sorry WYL, whilst there are negative nellies like yourself posting on this board, using 'facts' gleaned from the likes of Caroline Wilson, I am afraid I am here to stay, to provide a more balanced view to the long sufferiing readers of this board, who may be at the moment under the impression that the lifeboats are overflowing. Anyway back on topic, the negativity displayed by your self and other posters can lead some to assume that Peter Jackson will not achieve anything, personally I don't belileve this, I think it is a very good step forward by the much maligned board, to give some stability to the administrative side of the Club. From what I have read/heard/been told/seen/etc we have got ourselves a highly experienced first class operator on board, who will not be rushed by anybody, but in time will stop the Club from wobbling as it is hit by the latest media driven tsunami
