Injury List - Round 6 (Mitch Clark 6-8 weeks)

Not the best new, however, there are a few positives. Mitch Clark will have the screw removed and play the last 8-10 games and have a FULL PRE SEASON at years end. Magner or Couch can be elevated from the rookie list to provide much needed grunt in the middle, and maybe lift the clearance stats. (that is of course Clark can be put on the LTI list) Jack Watts to play up forward. I know I will be shot down for this, however, Watts will have more help in the forward line.. Thats my view on it all, I do not see this as doom and gloom. -
Round 5 VFL player report via MFC James Magner: Jimmy had 32 disposals, seven hard ball gets and six tackles. He again led the team around the stoppages and continually worked the ball out of congestion. His form has been very good. Tom Couch: Tom played a negating role on one of Williamstown's prime midfielders and was still able to win 28 disposals. He also led the side in contested possessions and tackles. The above is stock standard for both players @ VFL, No doubt both players will be elevated this year. I could not see Stark or Clisby being elevated over these two... Unless of course these two average 40 hard ball gets, average 20 clearances per game and kick 6 goals a game!

Evans & Nicholson were both promoted rookies. I can only assume they were both promoted over Magner is due to the amount of years on the list. It may be Magner & Couch that will be promoted this year, actually, it definitely should be Mangner & Couch.

As much as we hate Collingwood, you have to give them kudos for what Eddie & co have done for the Collingwood brand. I would kill to have a Eddie type personality under MFC. Side note, I was told that Collingwood now have their own sports label... Is this true?

This was said re 2013, 2012 etc etc. Far to often pre season builds us all up, and by the end of round 1 most of us are deflated.

Agree 100% Seeing as though Watts was a emergency for Clark last week, he surely should play up forward this week. Although.... When Clark & Dawes return, Jack Watts should stay up forward, this would stretch the opposition defenders... When the ball comes in that is!

Did anyone catch the full interview? I caught the tail end of the interview & there was a question asked of him regarding an altercation between Neeld & one of the assistants. Neeld responded by saying, for anyone who wants to write that crap I will see you in court (Definitely not those words)

At the end of the day come years end, the salary cap will have an additional $450,000 pa with the departure of JW. Maybe throw that at Dion Prestia?

An inexperienced side in GWS came very close to winning today. The last quarter was something both sides were not expecting. Every round MFC are a chance, the problem is that when they are 2-3 goals down they give up, today being an exception.
