I rate Maynard quite highly as a player, however I'd be more inclined to back ourselves and Weideman by keeping him and offering a future first rounder for Maynard - maybe with later round picks swaps to sweeten the deal for us. Re Weideman as a standalone proposition, if North or Gold Coast come bidding hard for him with juicy draft picks then that's a different matter.
