  1. T Y (I didn't listen to the talk)
  2. As mentioned, small group there today [although didn't attend whole sessiom]. Re match simulation, I was a bit unclear as to the rationale [of simulation]. The drills I watched had ten players attacking the goal with five [green vests] defending. What a surprise that the attacking players always found targets on their own and only rarely was the sherrin ever tutned over. Maybe i am missing something here but surely it would be better for both attackers and defenders to be more evely matched to acheive real 'match simulation'?
  3. I am similarly adopting this optimistic approach, however I am hoping that we improve nine or ten spots to finish in the final eight this September.
  4. What are you trying to say here? 1) Frawley should have given the kid nothing (when the quaddie didn't get up); or 2) gambling is the best use of money; or 3) it is always best to share your winnings with somebody who needs the money more; or 4) the kid was a mug because some Melbourne footballers prefer to use money to gamble.
  5. Instead of hopping into Frawley, let's applaud the Club for the way that they handled it! In the end the Club got some good positive publicity and created a 'feel-good' story!
  6. And his $15 back! This kid will be a Demon for life!
  7. That's the trouble with thumbnails, bit hard to read at that scale and a blurr when you enlarge it. Can you paraphrase the article?
  8. He has always had the work ethic. It has only been injuries that have held him back.
  9. Thanks for the report Pig Dog!
  10. Much better that, for the first time in ages, many players have cause for concern because at last we have genuine competition for spots (even in the midfield). This contrasts starkly from recent years when we were struggling to field a team!
  11. Very well reasoned argument in support of JJH's postl. I think that at this time next year there will be very few Demonlanders with a genuine incentive to start a post criticising our recruiting department for their strategy in the 2014 trade/draft period (even with the benefit of hindsight)!
  12. Your argument effectively argues that our most consistently effective low draft pick of a decade has been Watts who has played as a teammate with each of the above and still has an important role in Roos forward plans!
  13. They are off to Maroochydore the following week to avoid the Asian Cup clash!
  14. I think that both Salem and Toumpas will be "entry inside 50 specialists, delivery with precision. "!
  15. I think that you have surprised the whole of Demonland by your post Bluey! Of all the players on our list, Jordie was the last that l would expect to have a break- out year!
  16. And Port Adelaide, Brisbane etc. We seem to be gifted winnable opening rounds year after year and the blow it each year!
  17. We will be in the eight from our Round One defeat of the Suns right through to the Finals!
  18. Toumpas = GreekPetracca = Italian (and the jury hasn't even yet retired, let alone still out)
  19. I think that the overall team that runs out at Round 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. will prove to be the big 'surprise packet' for 2015!
  20. All in all a very astute draft. Plus the trade period picking up HL, Garlett, and Newton (on top of Frost) wasn't too shabby also [especially when nobody thought we still retained Clark to trade]!
  21. Final eight! (I am calling it now!)
  22. And Scott Thompson returns to Melbourne as a playing midfield coach for the Casey Scorpions (joining Shannon Byrnes)!
  23. Nearly 1500 views in under two days isn't bad and l guess confirms your statement.
  24. Good public transport (tram, train, bus), good parking, easily accessible from SESuburbs (such as Brighton)and CBD and good supporter base in the immediate area!
