  1. Enough on the references to Mad Monday. I say congratulations Georgiou, thanks for filling in a hole created last year when we were missing Clark and Hogan, and good luck in taking Norwood to their fourth Premiership. Let us see at the end of this season whether Georgiou's performance this year vindicates Norwood FC's faith in him.
  2. There are some interesting ideas above. Here are my picks plus some of my own: 1) Certainly have a MFC retail presence in the CBD, preferably doing a deal with Melbourne City council to have a section of their well located information areas at Fed Square and the Town Hall; 2) have only one easily identifiable playing jumper featuring our team colours rather than a multitude of away and clash versions. It works for Collingwood and other teams should be treated similarly; 3) sit all the MFC supporters together preferably adjacent to the MCC members. This area should be dedicated to the MFC for both home and away games (except finals); 4) bring back the reserves as a prelude to the main game (so we can see the rest of our list play). If that means forcing the Casey Scorpions to play at the "G", rebadging them the Casey Demons or having our stand-alone side in the VFL, each would surely be an improvement!
  3. Exactly plus Roos is hardly likely to inject somebody into his coaching structure if it is not likely to have a positive impact! I am backing Roos on both McCartney and Goodwin, both of who came to us from Clubs where there were controversial problems at the time of there departure.
  4. I cannot remember it happening last year? Anyway why not sing it (both verses) at the meeting.? It is a supporter's rally where we hear from our committee and football departments on their vision, not a BHP shareholder's meeting! To me the only embarrassment is only having six opportunities to sing it over the last two years (and most of us weren't in Adelaide)!
  5. See you all there!
  6. But, at the same time, extremely happy that we retained both picks one and two last year! Hopefully another two superstars added to our improving midfield!
  7. You certainly went mad with the camera! Lucky that you don't need to pay for film or developing these days ( or wait for developing)! Thanks for posting.
  8. What about the second verse?
  9. I just want to hear the second verse played by the AFL after our wins (plus I would like that to be every week)!
  10. Can you post a link Saty? I am a Luddite with regards to Twitter and/or Demonpk.p.s. I am following all reports with interest from SE Asia.
  11. Playing an outside running role, Matt Jones also looked ok in this footage, but you have to agree with BBP: How lucky are we to have Dom Tyson?
  12. I still remember Wright, Jacovitch and Jacko. Makes me think that we have had some of the most entertaining forwards in the AFL (even aside from the highly talented trio of Lyon, Neitz and Schwartz)!
  13. As Gawn is one of the tallest ruck men in the AFL, let us hope that we can develop this height superiority as Freo have done with Sandilands. If we can, then he has more upside as a genuine weapon, both as a ruck and when resting in the forward line. He is 12 centimetres taller than Hogan and our other key forwards , so surely that will present match-up difficulties for opposition Clubs. I see Spencer as depth and the key to Casey taking out the Premiership this year.
  14. Not sure whether my wardrobe extends to an outfit equally appropriate for both the Royal and the Long Room on Match Day?
  15. At least it is against the peak on the Monash Carpark!
  16. Then it must be wide open to all Demonlanders who are the most ardent fans on this planet!
  17. Never having ventured to Casey, how do they 'close' the training sessions there?
  18. I am not worried about the cherries. I have been busy on Google trying to source this model of "picker"!
  19. Like all Demonlanders, I lament the cards dealt to us last year when we all had high hopes for a forward like of Hogan, Clark and Dawes (plus Watts, Howe and JKH/Kent)! The only consolation bing that this year we line up again with Garlett substituted for Clark (and some handing additions to our midfield)!
  20. Topless waitresses at the Bentleigh Club and Leigh Oak!
  21. With Garlett and Petracca making up the final two (interchanged with Kent/JKH)!
  22. And a graduate from the same school as Watts and Dawes, who will be sharing the forward line!
  23. How are both Toumpas and Salem going in your view? You have mentioned Salem occasionally but it is while since news has filtered out on Toumpas.
  24. Thanks for the reports RB! Currently I am holidaying in Asia and your reports are the highlight of my trip.
  25. It looks OK IMO! T. McDonald, Dunn, Jetta & HL would have to be locks and I suspect tw of Howe, Grimes, Frost & Garland will round it off. Pederson is also likely for depth along with Terlich, both of whom seem to be training well and O. McDonald is part of our future down there as well. I have high hopes for our forwards, backs and mids this year and am quietly confident that they will see us in the top eight come mid-season! p.s. Don't be surprised to see Toumpas tried on the HBF at some stage during the season.
