Inability to kick in the wind
Windy here in Brisbane. Interesting to see if Goodwin can coach a basic skill like kicking with or kicking against the breeze. Good Skills are required and our squad mostly lack skill. But it’s about decision making and being smart. Actually another key deficiency. I’m sure we will go in hard and win contested footy but using the pill is critical. Tonight we have to be smart.

GAMEDAY: Rd 17 vs GWS
I think the term is “hot and cold”. It certainly does age us and caused unwanted stress levels. Beautiful 24c up here today (it was 22c at 10am for my sons soccer game). Breeze might be a factor. It’s about a 20km southerly today and given our problem with windy days (v dogs and v swans) it might be a problem. Skilled disposal required !!

Agree. He tackles. Good pace. Intense. Smothers. Better than quite a few others.

Jack Gunston
I’d trade 2021 2nd round pick for Gunston. Absolutely.

Brayshaw Out for Rest of 2020
Ouch. That’s a blow but mightn’t matter in any event given it’s only VERY SLIM chances of finals action. Hope it’s not a Trengove type injury

Yes I hate Gary Buckenara
Agree. Eishold. Yeats. Campbell. Three dead set chances to wrap up the game.

Jack Gunston
Ditto
-
Jeremy Cameron
Would suddenly make our forward line look very very dangerous.

Yes I hate Gary Buckenara
On the Front Bar. Hated him in 1987. Still hate him in 2020. Not sure Stynes ever redeemed himself in 244 games despite being an absolute champion.

The List: Where we are at
There’s an agenda to promote the Suns of course. But with us getting in Lever and May which meant no first round picks in 2016-18 drafts, it explains why? I think with Trac, Gus,Oliver, Weid,Sparrow, Jacko, Kozzy, Riv we are ok

The Need for Outside Midfielders
Got a run but would like to see him given another game this week v giants. Love to see a Pickett and Bedford combo causing pressure and creating goals in forward 50.

Quinton Narkle
Troll is to denegrate others for an opinion. That was your style. It had nothing to do with any facts and you had no facts. I’m stating imo I think other Melbourne clubs might be his intention or even still going home as happens each year every year. GAL

Two Metre Peter
If Preuss is offered to Swans or Giants , Wright could be a good pickup and present as a forward/ruck option.

The 2020 Trade Period
I agree with your last point about bringing in a forward craft coach. Our forwards are seemingly not taught basic skills of space and awareness. We lead into the congestion or to the pockets. Often there is the “fat side” with space or the ability to leave a hole. This is not my view as Brown, Carey, Brereton have same comments. That’s a fairly decent group of smart key forwards. One of them would be handy in a part-time capacity. An hour a week with any of these blokes would still cost but it’d be very beneficial.
