  1. Dees need to be smarter. MFC caught again By go home factor (LJ)🤮 By free agency (Hunt) 🤮 By a I-need-a-fair-go departure (Bedford) 🤮 Grundy is a roulette spin that is a costly $600k over 5 years as a “backup” 🧐🧐🧐 big test for ex recruiter Tim Lamb. Josh Mahoney was very strong and I had confidence in his recruiting and bargaining to win the trades for Hibbo, Melksham, May, Lever, Langdon & Brown.
  2. Agreed. Harmesy. “There is no current player that has more red & blue running in their veins than this loyal premiership minion”.
  3. Is it 1st April? Is this a joke. He’s a heart and soul type. Gives the grunt work behind Clarry, Trac and Viney. Also one of the players who can actually tag, like he did v Neale in round 23. Noting Goody didn’t use him tag Neale in the finals.
  4. “We are rapt for him that he has the opportunity to continue his career at West Coast”. 🤮🤮🤮🤮that’s usually said when a player has been perennially injured and likely to be delisted compo is 3rd round likely pick 52-54 🤮🤮🤮🤮. A player who played 42 out of a possible 46 games across two years for a team that finished premiers and 2nd across the two years. He’s a push/giveaway effectively for very little in return .
  5. Melbourne list manager Tim Lamb thanked Hunt for his commitment and contribution to the Demons. "Jayden has been an excellent contributor to our club over a sustained period," Lamb said. "He played an important role for us at half-back over the last couple of years and was unlucky to miss out on 2021 premiership having suffered an ankle injury in round 21 of that year. "We are rapt for him that he has the opportunity to continue his career at West Coast and we wish him all the best in the next chapter."
  6. If we don’t get the early young key forwards like Cadman and Gruzewski, Fletcher Hart might be worth a rookie opportunity. Fletcher Hart Club: Murray Bushrangers/Albury Height: 200cm Weight: 97kg DOB: 01/07/03 A tall forward who is an imposing athlete, Hart is a mobile big man who presents strongly as a marking target up forward. He showed a thin slice of his potential when he took 10 marks and kicked six goals in a NAB League game against the Northern Territory earlier this year.
  7. Absolutely… if I’m the Kangas, Cadman and Larkey for a very dangerous forward combo alongside a McKay-Curnow structure. Kangas have plenty of extra mids and can accumulate more even if JHF moves back to SA. Cadman would be my first choice in the draft (excluding Ashcroft of course).
  8. Freo will get picks from the trade out of Acres, Logue, Lobb and Tucker. Dees should demand a top 10 pick from Freo (which they need to trade up using the Logue trade packaged with pick 13) and their 2023 1st round pick.
  9. Tsatas is the exact running type of midfielder that the Dees would love to add. But I’d prefer Cadman if we somehow managed to land a top 5 pick. My top 5 (after the Lions take Ashcroft under father-son as #1) are Cadman, Wardlaw, Tsatas, Sheezel and Humphrey. No real surprises really.
  10. Free agent. Doesn’t cost them any draft or player collateral. He’s got genuine Pace to attack or use defensively. Suits WA conditions. Band aid solution for them whilst they start to rebuild.
  11. Yes played 7 full games, 1 as activated medi sub and 8 unused medi sub. Nine times listed as medi sub !!!
  12. Yes yes and yes Dees then use the pick to grab Aaron Cadman 👏👏👏👏👏
  13. Culture is “How” you achieve. Dees certainly high on this scale. Making the right decisions on the right issues. But agree that winning helps, as losing breeds disappointment, frustration and often poor decisions.
  14. Ps. Max and Jess and George Gawn off to Milan for the end of year trip. Players have certainly stepped up the end of year trip. Not Noosa or the GC or Bali anymore. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  15. Exactly. Got 1st and 2nd and 4th correct. Though the Oliver-Petracca quinella was paying $1.02!!!
  16. DEMONLAND VOTES FOR 2022 were Clarrie wins the Demonland Player of the Year by the length of the straight - 274. Clayton Oliver 201. Christian Petracca 151. Angus Brayshaw 132. Jack Viney 105. Trent Rivers 2022 Keith ‘Bluey’ Truscott Memorial Trophy – Top 10 Clayton Oliver – 608 votes Christian Petracca – 553 votes Steven May – 473 votes Jack Viney – 471 votes Angus Brayshaw – 446 votes Max Gawn – 430 votes Bayley Fritsch – 395 votes Kysaiah Pickett – 391 votes Alex Neal-Bullen – 384 votes Ed Langdon – 367 votes
  17. Clarry is a Champion. Absolutely one of our greatest players ever. Trac runner up and deserves high praise for another sensational year. Well spoken young man. Mayzy getting third is great recognition for his role and his backline leadership. Love his speech. Relaxed after a few “reds”.
  18. Goody: Winning after winning Tough and brutal competition We finished 2nd but in the end after the finals, disappointly if hurt Wanted to do it for Melbourne faithful and enjoy a win at the MCG Aim to create winning behavior and culture of success Last 2 weeks analyzing what needs improvement +10 consecutive wins +growth and premiership of Casey (!!!) Mark Corrigan ✅ ways to get better - culture and game style and adding VFL talent Need to put pieces together to get back to the top thank you to 65000 members in the words of “Neale Daniher” … ‘Become a person of value’.
  19. “Uncle” Greg Stafford. The bloke at the pub or BBQ gathering that loves to tell funny stories. Yes I’d hope he had a few bevvies because … well he’s no comedian !! Just a query … is Stafford our “in need for dramatic improvement” forwards coach. My god, no wonder we kick to the deep forward pocket versus Cats/Swans/Magpies kicks to the hotspot on the top of the goalsquare. Hmmm. Anyway, congrats Tom Sparrow. Spargo and ANB equal coaches runners up award.
  20. Delisted: Rosman Retired: Daw, Mitch Brown (r) Gone (trade) : Jackson Probable delisting: Baker Probable free agent departure: Hunt Potential trade loss: Bedford Likely 1-year contracts through to retirement: Hibbo and Melksham * likely trade arrival - Brodie Grundy ** unknown /other targets???? Dees could end up with either two draft picks + Chandler upgrade OR up to four draft picks + Chandler upgrade.
  21. AFL website - Dees have interest in Corbett alongside Bombers and Freo remaining as his likely destination. I should think we’d definitely push the make a 2-3 year contract offer under the “goalkicker wanted” signpost Melbourne also has some interest in Corbett ahead of a trade period
  22. agree. Ben Brown will be 30 at start of 2023 and struggling with a knee problem. 2023 is likely to be his last year. Tmcd will be 31.5 at start of 2023. He’s a warrior but in the fading light of his career presumably. Perhaps 2024 will be his farewell year. Dees need another forward to partner JVR - either through a trade (Georgiades, Corbett) , draft (Cadman or Gruzewski) or team redesign (Petty).
