It would have been boring to watch if we won it easily. We would have rolled over in the third and lost that game last year so good on the boys to keep at it and come away with a win.

I'm just glad we got it right for a change!! From all report on Pretracca pre draft he was going to be a once In a life time player and we are already starting to see what they were talking about. Unfortunitly for the Saints McCartin will be just like Watts and will never live up to his draft pick expectations. We probably won't see what his capable of till his mid 20's that is of cause if he doesn't end up like Trengrove and get a serious injury. We can all relate to the Saints on this one.

If we did what we did against West Coast and turn over the ball to much in our forward half giving them the opportunity to counter attack which is what they do really well then we will get smashed. I aggree with Spencer ahead of Weed in this match, we need forward presser which Weed doesn't have just yet. Losing to WC in a practice match was a good wake call as it won't give the team a false reading on where they are at come round one. Hopefully the loss was enough for Goody to tinker his game play and stop the counter attach from the Saint.

I think we played to cute in the third and screwd up our chances in the forward line to put presser on the scoreboard. All in all it was a good pre season test for the boys against a team who will be playing finals this year. Mark my words, West Coast will play in the grand final this year if not get very close to it.

I like Lauren Wood's statement. Most likely we could win the same amount of games as St.Kilda, don't know about the other 2 teams though. Round 1 is building up to be a cracking game between the Saints considering how many people can't decide which team will make the 8. I think we will have a better understanding by round 2, I hope we're not disappointed again.

The writing is on the wall at Foxtel, they have had a strong hold on the Australian Market for so long they are doing everything they can to keep customers buying there product now there is finally some serious compatition like Netflix and Stan stealing there big piece of the pie. I decided to subscribe to Foxtel after reading this blog as I don't really want to watch a poor quality 2 inch football game on my 7 inch IPad, watching it in HD on my new 65 inch TV is a much better idea. When I called Foxtel I planned to negotiate pretty hard, I sale for a living and feel this is a strong trade of mine, with out even trying they gave me the managment special. This included, NO LOCK IN CONTRACT, FREE INSTALL, FREE IQ2 BOX AND THE FIRST MONTH FREE WITH ALL CHANNELS. Never have I heard of Foxtel giving away a deal this good!?? The last time I got Foxtel for the Footy Channel 4 years ago the best deal going was $45 a month for the spots channels on a 12 month contract, then after the 12 months was up the spots package went up to $55. It is quite obvious they are getting desperate and trying to do everything the can to get new customers in the door as there is now a lot of cheaper and better alternatives. I can tell you right now once that first month is up I will push to get the sports package cheaper then $55 a month.

I haven't seen us win a preseason game that easily for years. I think our interactive for the ball will go up another level when we start the season. Cant wait for the season to start!!

There was no patch during the game where we looked to lose stamina which is a really good indication that the boys can run out a full game.
