This first year player ran him self so hard he made him self vomit then went back out there and finished the game!! This guy is pushing him self to his limits which is great to see from a first year. Most first year players of old would have called it quits at that stage let alone ranning them selves that hard in the first place. This guy has A grade written all over him, looking forward in watching him develop into one.

I hope not, Jobe was average until his 2012 season. And we all know why he got better.

We don't want our first year players jumping straight into the middle from round one. Finally we are good enough to give our first year mids time to develop in the VFL.

That's exactly right. We don't want another 8+ players coming into the club next off season because that will mean those new players will take 12 months to learn the game plan and gel with the team. The starting 22 needs to be fairly stable by the time Goody take over.

He's actually a pretty big boy. I was looking through all the sizes of the guys on the MFC app and Sam is 2cm taller and 1kg bigger then Sam Frost and He's a man mountain. Give him a pre season on an AFL program and he should put on another couple more KGs, CP5 weighs the same but is 10cm shorter then him, what a tank!!

And didn't Watts start his career at 75-80kg?

This was the one guy I wanted In this years draft and when It was talked about that Essendon was going to take him with one of there picks I had given up hope so for us to grab him with our second pick makes me very very happy. I'm a lot more impressed in his video clips then Parish's, I'm jumping on the bandwagon with you!!

In one of the clips there's Parish trying to tackle Oliver and Parish couldn't even hang onto him. That makes me think how is Parish going to go tackling men when he can't even tackle someone his own age? Roos midfield prototype is big Bodied tackling machines, this guy fit that mould.

These Phantom Drafts are starting to get a bit confusing considering the amount of Academy players in the top 10.

We do need to own Melbourne City, how much would it cost the club to set up a coffee van in fed squad and give out free coffees and waters with the logo on it every Home game at the MCG? We need something like that to make it our city!!

I think even suggesting talking about a contract extension with 2 year left on his existing one This early in his career says we are desperate to keep him.We have basically given him the right to demand a blank check at the end of next season. Don't know if this was the smartest move by the club, just hope his manager doesn't play hard ball now and we pay way over for him. Jesse will be a once in a generation player so I'm pretty sure we will give him what ever he wants to keep him at Melbourne.

The way I read Concentrating on footy to hold on contract talks is, Im going to practice my goal kick all preseason and kick 60 goals next season which will give me an extra $500,000 per year on my price tag. Smart move.

That makes me think, will you win a premiership by throwing all your cash at one A grade player? or is it a better idea to build a team of solid contributes who can play there role?
