  1. my top 5 1. Nathan Jones 2. Colin Garland 3. Colin Sylvia 4. Dean Terlich 5. Matt Jones
  2. i am of the opinion Burns will coach WC next year, and Worsfold may be a sneaky chance at Brisbane, but i also know from a good mate who is very involved at the Lions they are pretty into Craig, so i would not be upset if that happened.
  3. I think WCE will still sack Worsfold, give Scott Burns the reins in 2014 but you're right it is amusing, who do you think coaches Brisbane?
  4. I would have thought Nathan Jones will win and deserve his second Bluey on thursday.
  5. I agree, i'd love to hear they have called for a presser this arvo, but at the same time i think we already have a fair idea don't we? we get to rub into Brisbane supporters how they have totally stuffed up their coaching process and we got out number 1 target which is hilarious.
  6. well done boys, always 100% effort, that's all we can ask!
  7. Either way get all of demonland and Roosy down to the pub and we can get in his ear about what we want to see in 2014 haha
  8. I think the thing to consider is which teams would be into pick 1, and what sort of offers they might make. Freo, Carlton, bulldogs, brisbane, adelaide, stkilda, collingwood, GCS, richmond, would all most likely be willing to deal i'd be certainly looking at trying to prize a quality young mid and a high draft pick out of these sides if possible.
  9. I have judged Jack very harshly as a player, kinda part of the deal when you go pick 1, but i think he would be a really good forward with some half decent delivery, he has been okay this year, two weeks ago i was all for trading him, now i'm not sure.
  10. No price, it is the be all and end all of the football department, and i believe we will be a very strong club again under paul, Paul Roos is the future of this club now, anyone else and we lose more talent, we continue to go backwards, geez imagine demonland if we hired an untried coach and Jesse Hogan left because he didn't like the direction of the club.
  11. What he says OTC will be interesting, i am expecting something along the lines of, " i had a talk with my family and Melbourne is an option, i just have to work out if i really want to coach blah blah blah, it's obvious i have signed and want to give half of my salary to Demonfan26 blah blah blah
  12. Nathan Jones probably deserves an appreciation thread too, i could not respect the bloke any more, he should be our captain in 2014!
  13. Todd viney has unearthed some strong talent from the draft, much nicer than the last few years.
  14. He is an absolute class act as a person, a coach, a football mind. the players would be far, far better for having had the time they have had with him,
  15. Financial position and crowd numbers suddenly look abit better too, sponsors might be more inclined to get on board. anyone else would now feel like we have failed.
  16. The case against Roos, if there is a logical one is abit irrelevant, we tabled an offer of 1.5 mil or whatever for five years for the guy, we're obviously very keen, he met the leadership group, declared public interest, has refused to close the door on us all year so he is clearly interested i think it's going to happen either way, and i personally am thrilled and congratulate the MFC for going out, targeting the best coach on the market and getting their man.
  17. MFC has been a hopeless club in every sense of the word all year PP1 and Paul Roos change that short and long term, so the AFL imo won't even consider the other clubs in this, besides GWS if it's not putting the only lower ranked team and their love child out too much they won't do it. i'd be happy with 2 & 3 also Aish and Scharenberg would look alright in red and blue.. :D
  18. I'm with Stuie, Jamar and our second round pick seems like a fair deal, i have heard we offered him a fairly similar sort of offer to the one we gave Dawes so hopefully the kid likes the idea of playing under Roos and being set for life in his home state.
  19. Thanks GNF have really appreciated your insight throughout this entire season
  20. On the afl website he says, the meeting was two way, they discussed how roos coached teams play but he wanted to keep most of it private Also said the players were excited to be getting such an experienced coach
  21. Nathan's Jones comments sound like he knows roos is the coach imo
  22. His family would know exactly what's going on, they would have said no when he rejected the lions if he was going to imo, meeting the leadership group is almost confirmation in itself
  23. I am still seriously liking our Chances, if his family were straight up against it he wouldn't meet pj or the leadership group.
  24. Sounds like he just needs one last green light
  25. Just for you Mitch when a bloke meets the leadership group change publicly declares interest you can fairly confident
