  1. No one is immune to a spell in the VFL if their form is no good
  2. Tyson looks a potential brownlow medalist to me and Salem showed plenty also
  3. Can't believe people are so negative we are seriously challenging the ladder leaders win or lose this is massive
  4. Scoring power is going to be an issue all day, already missing dawes
  5. Totally agree , we need state of origin
  6. Motlop, lonegan, Taylor are all Australian premiership players, would love three of those at the Dees
  7. I agree, if everything went perfectly we might sneak into the 8 next year, but more likely 2016, i don't feel as though Geelong will have too many issues they still have some real quality players around, Motlop, Hawkins, Duncan, Selwood, Lonegan, Guthrie, Taylor, Rivers, and so on so the nucleus of a good side will remain, i don't believe they will make a play for Chip though our biggest risk of losing him is in our control, winning today would be another big step, and it sounds from what i am hearing most sides think he is going to stay anyway.
  8. i'd still argue they have some good talent coming through and will be playing regular finals for a while to come, which is a fairly significant point of difference between them and us as i'd say we are at least another season off playing finals.
  9. I dont think it matters if they turn up to play, I genuinely believe our best is good enough to win
  10. I feel an upset brewing, port aren't invincible like some teams think, if they turn up relaxed after beating some good sides we might just surprise them and when we get out tails up we are hard to beat.
  11. I didn't feel confident we would beat the crows, blues or tigers, but we put ourselves into good positions to attack games.
  12. somewhere between 1 and 4 weeks, who bloody knows with the match review panel, I reckon they just guess half the time.
  13. Losing is no longer acceptable, honourable losses are no longer enough, we play tomorrow believing and expecting to win and anything less is a failure.
  14. I believe this is why Roos will remain at the club in some capacity, he will not leave the dees in bad shape.
  15. Was Chippa signing anything... might have looked like a contract? haha that's awesome! let's hope they get a win! GO DEES
  16. Jimmy Toumpas was drafted because he had displayed an ability to play inside and outside, was never fast but ran hard which is exactly what he is doing for us and his skills were damaging, I am not big on the idea all players need to be fast, jimmy is smart, abit like Joey montagna or Nick dal santo, or even pendels, they aren't quick Jack Trengove in my opinion has been played out of position, and the foot injury has probably dropped his pace and penetration abit making the outside role very tough for him, I see Trenners as a centre bounce inside mid, he makes good decisions, has good skills and isn't bad in traffic, I reckon Roosy will have him back in the middle next year I don't believe the rumours that Neeld overruled Viney about Wines, sure Todd may have wanted Wines on a personal level but Toumpas was rated top 2 in that draft all year until right at the end, the only reason we didn't talk about him more earlier than we did is that we didn't think he'd be around at our pick, but that's irrelevant, I still believe Toumpas will be a very solid 200 gamer for us.
  17. Watching the way we have been playing it must be really tempting to jump back on board with us on the rise, hopefully he doesn't jump the gun and makes the right decision for him and his health
  18. When I watch a young bloke play the things I want to see are workrate, desire, and little flashes of class, MOST young players will start off slow and build and MOST are inconsistent even when they do start to get going, but I feel the Toump has improved steadily, the next two years are about 1 getting to the point he is consistently in our best 22, and from there finding a role that suits his strengths, elite skills, gut running, leadership
  19. I watched the game feeling like they were being totally out worked, and not by 5% or 10% the swans ran all over them, the cats were just so helpless, it was like watching us last year.
  20. I really think we can match them in the midfield, and our defence is capable to keeping their score under 100, the big question for me is can we kick a winning score?
