  1. I find the part about Jeremy Cameron interesting, Roosy has not denied the club has made contact, just says he has no idea about it, which I find strange, if a club was going to make what would presumably be a multi million dollar pitch to a player to join the club I would have thought the Senior coach would have a huge amount of say in it. I'm not really sure how it works with the recruiting staff if they are just given a brief of what attributes the club needs and they go and get the best players around to fill those roles, but I would have thought no player was coming through the doors unless Roosy wanted them
  2. I agree, I reckon Treloar is about to stamp himself as one of the best mids in the game, i reckon Shiel looks a really good player as well, would happily part with picks 3, 4 to pick up those two, offer 600k per year each and see just how loyal they are.
  3. Only chance is if Dangerfield tells them he will walk as a free agent for nothing if they don't trade him, which would mean paying massive dollars, I reckon given the situation of our list we need to try and land 3-4 players who are going to make an impact rather than 1 superstar
  4. I reckon we need to give Jay and michie another look
  5. Sam Mitchell would be one, not sure other than that.
  6. I think the thing for me is the quality of the side Bb, I reckon Jack will improve as the side does, if the ball was coming in fast and clean alot more he would become more dangerous, it would be interesting to see how watts would go sitting in a pocket at say the hawks But I agree he just doesn't want the contest at this stage
  7. Really wish we chased miles last year, we would have got him for nothing and he's playing great footy for the toigs
  8. I'm not arguing jacks worth Bb, I'm arguing that roos clearly has some faith in him, several statements in which he defends watts publicly would make him look pretty silly if he trades him at years end.
  9. I reckon you're right, we have a huge amount of cap space to throw around, we will look at anyone and everyone who could add something to the team and pick the best we can get of that group
  10. The obvious Nick name would be Ronald or blue
  11. Another big turnover beckons at the end of the year methinks
  12. Was never intended as a definitive statement, just a suggestion that the amount of public support for Jack Watts individually from Roosy suggests that he rates him a little bit more highly than the demonlanders calling for his head, a lot of whom called for Dunns head, and Pedersons head I was one who called for the heads of Dunn and Pederson and others at various stages and I am extremely happy I have been proven wrong.
  13. To be totally honest Ahern interests me a little more than Brayshaw, wouldn't be upset if we pull the trigger possibly a little early on him. what draft range to people see Wigg going? would our second rounder be in the frame?
  14. Which I fully support providing all individuals involved are either not there anymore or have served any bans they are given, I really like the idea of each club having an AFL appointed full time integrity officer to prevent these things before they become a media circus.
  15. So you can say with 100% certainty that Roosy doesn't have exactly the same view behind closed doors as he does in the public, despite Jack playing every game this year, and Roosy defending him on more than one occasion. I will happily have my slice of humble pie if Jack is offered up for trade at years end.
  16. Assuming the turn over a good part of their list perhaps the afl would hit the club harder, although the label of drug cheats won't wash off anytime soon, especially If hird remains at the club
  17. Teams have been in contact with chip for over 12 months, because of free agency this is now what's normal, if a team feels they are going to lose a player because they can't match an offer they may look at a good deal through trading rather than losing the player for nothing. Teams will try and get Nathan Jones, he's a free agent next year and far more likely to stay on but he is too good a player to not have a dig Anyways I hope we have a serious look at a skillful half back, our turnovers from that part of the game are seriously costing us
  18. Yeah I tend to agree, I think learning under Stone and Roosy is a pretty good opportunity, and the stage of the rebuild puts him in a good position to learn how to when he takes over a club, effect some similar rebuilding tactics and try and implement culture and such
  19. I have heard North Melbourne are very interested in getting him on board full time also, I believe he is doing some part time mentoring or something along those lines there at the moment.
  20. He was, commented that he felt Luke Hodge at the time was a far more complete player, but reckons Gary Ablett Jr is currently the best player of all time
  21. I'm not sure on that one mate, I think there is a huge possibility they're going to back themselves to keep him regardless of what we offer, but if we offer a really good deal like that there is an outside chance they will at least look at it, anxiety over losing players for nothing will become much more potent a weapon in this sort of situation once the compo is scrapped altogether and it becomes a prospect of getting nothing for a star player.
  22. I found it to be a strange comment on his part, surely McCartin the likely number 1 pick has been more impressive than Goddard, a bloke who will possibly slide outside the top 15
  23. Sorry Pennant, are you referring to Durdin or Goddard?
  24. Very handy player, seemed to be playing the best footy of his career before he was struck down.
