Jobe Watson will get Brownlow Back.
The Free the Essendon 34 will be loving it https://www.theguardian.com/sport/2019/oct/16/a-stitch-up-new-twist-in-essendon-supplements-saga-reported Pity the spin will hide the real story: “Thymosin Beta 4 was included on the 2010 prohibited list by Wada .... Thymosin Beta 4 has never been approved for human use. Whether a substance was on Asada’s former Check Your Substances tool has no bearing on its status as a prohibited substance on Wada’s prohibited list. “It is impossible to list every substance that may be used for performance enhancement in such a tool, particularly those not approved for use by humans.”

Darwin game dumped
Have posted before the ditching of the Darwin game which I thoroughly support will almost certainly result in the loss of around 5k of memberships that would have been sold to the NT govt as part of the contra deal for their sponsorship. So we get both a revenue loss and a nominal membership drop. Pity about the abysmal 2019 on field performance. If we had made top 4 we would take it in our stride.

Are we plotting a late heist?
As long as we don't play the GWS cast off game again I'll be content. We've already done that a few times and it hasn't been a happy ending.

Darwin game dumped
tin rattling and chook raffles are the usual ways for old clubs like ours

Might try and make the Alice game next year with a side trip to the Rock. Nice roadtrip via Broken Hill perhaps sampling the roadkill cuisine at the various truck stops.

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
are you suggesting our 8 for their second rounder and Gunston? Maybe
-
Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
not for a first rounder...

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
we will get a pick (4th round) presumably in the Stretch trade and as I understand it the picks never run out... you just keep going through the order until al the clubs say "no more"

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
It was the sweetener to get North to bite. Imagine if we had given them 22. It will work out if we get two good players. Fingers crossed.

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
High price no matter how you spin it. Need to nail these two selections. Given our parlous position it's a worthwhile gamble.

One must still have chaos in oneself to be able to give birth to a dancing star.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Must admit in light of the Hogan trade last year 5 and 9 for a player who had played 6 odd games in two years does seem overs. The person I feel for is Daniher who obviously has some problems dealing with the mental pressure of football. (Not Robinson Crusoe in that.) This circus doesn't help him and most commentators agreed that a fresh start may be what he needed. So much for Essendon caring about player welfare.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Trade spin is interesting . Have been following the thousands of posts over on Bomberblitz about Daniher. The spin now is that Swans over promised Daniher about what they would trade to get him and that in fact it is the Swans who are being unreasonable. Mind you this is the club who still think they were innocent of an organised illegal supplement injection program for their whole team !!

2019 Player Reviews: #16 Kade Kolodjashnij
I think the decision will be made prior to the mid year draft. Wonder if it will be the same for AVB and J Smith. No way can a club carry three very long term injuries. The flip side is that it denies three VFL players a chance at the big time.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Hadn't realised there was an accompanying TV event. I think your comment is no doubt correct. What a joke. But then again these same guys were responsible for AFLX 2019 !!! So other than our pick 3 the MFC trades were not considered TV worthy?

James Aish
Freo have offered him a 3 year deal. They are desperate and Pies are lucky

2019 Player Reviews: #17 Sam Frost
Interesting that our internal demonland ratings ranked him at 8 whereas in the Bluey he was ninth. Are we good...................

Why are the Saints so attractive?
nor do I but like North they seem to have the wood on us.

2019 Player Reviews: #14 Michael Hibberd
Many thanks Andy. Over the years I have found that for a lesser team such as ours you get more insight from this forum than you could possibly hope for from either the mass media or the club itself. Such a wonderful resource. That vote tells me that on more than one occasion we thought him in our top 6 at least so the season was not a complete loss for Hibberd.

2019 Player Reviews: #13 Clayton Oliver
Both he and Gawn could be so more damaging. They are generational players. Up to the coaching staff to maximise their impact. In the back half of the year I would have liked to see Oliver being played as an outside mid simply to improve his kicking and awareness. The game results were irrelevant and most were losses anyway so not sure why there was not more thinking towards 2020.

2019 Player Reviews: #14 Michael Hibberd
The gameplan adopted by Goodwin does not favour aging players no matter what their skill level may be. The only positive is that the form drop off in 2019 was so precipitous that it may have been one of those aberrations we talk about. Not sure we have the players to cover him and could explain why we kept Josh Wagner on the list. PS: these reviews would be fascinating if the players performance could also be correlated with Joeboy's great weekly player commentary and of course our own Demonland rankings. For instance did Hibberd ever feature in our top 6 players in any match etc.

Time for the MFC to grow a pair and take a risk.
Someone will take him in the PSD. Not us as we already have our own injury trio in AVB, KK and J Smith. Murray on the other hand could be worth a look but at it's simplest he sounds like another Hunt (fast and eratic) and that isn't looking good. Happy to leave that decision to our wonderful football department.

Gun target - Key Forward recruit?
Could have taken us apart single handed in that 2018 final if he'd kicked straight but I do agree his 2019 season wasn't that great. If the price and contract term(2 years at most) were right we'd have to think very hard though.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
5 and 9 for 3... Would you also be interested in a second hand set of jousting sticks?
