Farewell Luke Jackson
$10 M over seven years is possible if you think the salary cap will almost double in that period. One hell of a risk though

Tasmanian AFL Team
In reality the only advantage they get is not playing 3-4 games interstate. Perhaps you make it 2 games outside Victoria and Tasmania and then it becomes very close to a "normal" Victorian team. Playing at Docklands is not a great advantage.

CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
If Daw is fit he has to come in just to do the simple bounce grunt. On ground time will be say 70%. The M Brown experiment has not worked. Hunt was a good forward in 2019 (?) so that's a possibility. Otherwise it's Weideman. Cannot see enough fire power in Chandler or Bedford Replacing Sparrow with Dunstan is a possibility but it doesn't excite me. Down back I'll leave the Rivers/Bowey discussion to the selectors

Farewell Luke Jackson
Not Quite Like most players he's waiting for the new salary caps It's always been that way

Soft cap to increase by $500,000 - where would you spend it?
Would be surprised if Goodwin's contract did not have an upward review clause dealing with a relaxation of the soft cap. Money wise $500k doesn't buy too many full timers. My guess is at least half will go into player welfare

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
I have posted on this subject before. Assuming everyone was fit a player like Joel Smith is the perfect sub. Coaches seem to think of them merely as a set of fresh legs rather than how do I strategically manage the injury risk equation Going forward I can see Turner in this role. When playing VFL he should play a quarter as a forward just to get an idea Time for Picket to play closer to goal and thus be at the drop. If not try Bedford which means ANB out probably.

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Petty should not have played We were plain dumb not to rotate some players through the Eagles/North rounds. Rivers should have been the medi-sub

CASEY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
A strong team win. Conditions did not favour skilful players. Hard to take too much from the game on an individual basis. Hunt may have shaded Rivers and JVR is auditioning well for a forward spot in 2023. Weid okay but didn't excite. Excellent goal accuracy..... If only it was contagious !!!!!!!!!! The non AFL Casey players are perhaps not given the credit they deserve. They as a group are excellent.

CASEY: Rd 12 vs Collingwood
Having gone to this game a couple of years ago the crowd is 70% Collingwood. It's probably the biggest game of the year crowd wise

Tasmanian AFL Team
No roof Without one the product could be terrible. Remember Tassie have never had a night game With a State funded clean stadium seating say 35k the Tassie team could stack up. It would mean big $$ every year from the State. This is effectively what NFL teams do. Build me a stadium/new stadium or we move !!

TEAMS: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Good selection Would have preferred that we had debuted one or two new players in the Eagles/North weeks. Looking back I think that's where we started the slump we are now in. A bit of a "squad"mentality may have averted the unfortunate events of last weekend as well. Big game in the context of the season

Steven May Suspended by the Club
I think many have underestimated the Kayo impact. For around $10 a week most have had every match piped to their lounge room in complete comfort. Foxtel cable was for the few but streaming was another story. Add in covid and the AFL bungling the spontaneity factor with its tcketing fiasco and is it any wonder crowds are down

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Backline... Rest Petty.. May in Consider Hibberd for Hunt but probably not Mids.. no change Forwards: BBB and M Brown ( be ready for a bigger change post bye)
