While this team is making progress, it is simply pathetic that we can only muster 3 goals at this level of football. Nearly 70,000 turned up today and deserve a better output. Queens birthday and 3 goals!!!!!!! Bloody awful

Watts was pathetic on Sunday. He plays bruise free football and I'm bloody fed up with his approach to the game. He is a very skilful player but will never succeed until he bloody well steps it up a gear. If he is still putting in these pathetic efforts later in the season then get rid of him. Paul Roos needs to recruit speed, recruit ruckman, and above all recruit 1 or 2 absolute stars who break the lines, take the game on and can win a game off their own boot. Nothing can be done this season other than teach those who will stay on the list. I'm tipping PR has already worked out who to bone, and there are plenty to choose from. Watching the rubbish our B graders serve up can't last beyond this season. I was in the members on Sunday and the bad sentiment is towards the awful skill errors by the same culprits every week. These culprits would not get a game in any other side. It is simply astounding that these guys are supposed to be among the best in the world at their sport. Money must be set aside to get a superstar into this team....imperative this happens.

I like many others went to the G last week and left before the end of the game. Now into my 8th year of torture as a supporter of the MFC, 35 years as a member. I wonder how many supporters of this club are just fed up with the game in general. I watch Geelong and enjoy their brand but overall interest in footy is lost in the past. I got fired up when Roos was appointed but now very much realise he has a mammoth task to turn the list over. Years and years still to go for the MFC and even then that guarantees bugger all. PJ talks about hope............wow hard to get the head around that after last week. As a supporter group in the best game in the world, us dees supporters have been totally screwed for a generation. Well there goes PJs tilt at getting members to re sign. Sows ear and silk purse comes to mind for this lot. As for Frawley - he is almost our number one sook. I reckon Tommy Mac shows more in recent times. If they are not capable of hardening up then offload before the club goes into liquidation. Crowds just will not turn up to watch such rubbish.

Grimes and Trenners have both not come up. Both put in a poor game and they are so called leaders. It ain't good enough and both these lads need to step it up very damn quickly

Peter Jackson said pre game the cultural problems were very deep. SO WHAT WERE THEY? What was so bad? My take is a completely different view. We have recruited a total bunch of hacks who continue to sook and underperform. If these guys are so mentally damaged, then they should give the game away. rjay - yes talent is front an square, but you watch the resurgence of Port Adelaide and there is no doubt in my mind that they now have the mental strength to back up the talent. Our list with exception of newbies 2014 have not a scintilla of resilience. That's what I want to see, take the game on FFS, give us something !!!!! Guys with 50 plus games under their belt should stop going into their shells. Enough is enough. As Roos said, he will find out who can play AFL at our club this year....well let's see!!!

I watch Essendon, I watch St Kilda to mention a few. Regardless of their plight, they play with passion, they bleed for the jumper and club. I have not seen this by a Demons team for 6 long bloody years. I want some gut running, some fire and passion, ruthless attack on the ball this week for the whole game. You cannot fault the resilience of Essendon players ... when will the dees grab their chance to be resilient? It's time!!! NOW

Spot on OD. If you can't get on the park after many repeated efforts, then your body is not up to AFL. We have our fair share of bodies that cannot sustain the rigours at this level, and it's killing us.

The injury reports are a farce and club members/supporters are again being fed khrap. I pay my bloody membership rain hail or shine......and I expect far better communications from this club.

As a player Hird had the utmost respect from me. All now undone! I have never witnessed in playing and following the game for over 50 years that a single person is bigger than the whole football organisation. Outside of a very naive Essendon football club, Hird is poorly regarded due to his extreme hubris. I have no doubt that this will eventually bring the bummers back to a bottom 4 team where they will remain for a decade. Not immediately as they have a good list with resilience, but this will pass. Hirds hubris will haunt his club well into the future.

Geez it's bloody hard as a paid up member to hear this injury khrap every doom and gloom year. Gutful of this with so called elite bloody athletes. Gutful of club feeding members supporters garbage reports. Just tell the bloody truth. In a very time crucial period for this club we have a non existent forward line, WTF is going on? The Eagles can manage to keep all their talls on the park, WTF is this club doing so bad with its fitness program? Patience is totally screwed with this.

Pederson is an absolute embarrassment at this level. No bloody forward line at all will eventually kill off enthusiasm by our bolstered midfield. As for Frawley, I want him to grab the game by the throat and show some mongrel. Our team needs superstars who can take the game on….too many fluffy ducks on our list
