Apart from been absolutely fed up with beltings like most like minded dees supporters where the hell are our leaders when our team just folds like a pack of cards. So what we have had a couple of reasonable wins this year....so what? As soon as we have a win, the club runs around with its chest puffed out and then follows up with another belting. This rot has to stop. Enough is enough, and this leadership group need to be accountable, and that includes our skipper. Yes the while leadership group! When will our leaders take control during a run on and settle it down? They are some of the worst culprits when things start to unravel.... No point walking off the ground at the end looking like sad sacks and having a sulk in the rooms, then stating the bleeding obvious at press conferences. This club talks about climbing the ladder.....it's all talk year after year....our leaders - those who are chosen to lead....start doing your jobs FFS, these embarrassing losses have gone on far too long, way to long. When is this nonsense going to turn around?

Yes hallelujah for our young guys....they make our so called leaders look stupid.

One thing for certain....the racists won't fess up on radio or tv. They would have been amongst the crowd booing Goodes, but true to form for racists...they hide behind other excuses. Gutless wonders.

It's time our coaching group are put under the microscope a bit more, the inconsistency from week to week has to be reversed. We all know we still have a B grade list, however 24 points up and then they kick 12 of the next 14 goals....that's a coaching issue!!! Roos says it's concerning...no [censored] Sherlock! Perhaps the coaching box can do much better?

The selection from week to week under Roos just baffles me. All I do know is that Howe and Bail DO NOT deserve their spot in the senior team. A couple of speccies in my opinion does not make an AFL player. The problem our club continues to have is players who are bad decision makers, and devoid of effort and consistency. It's 2015 FFS we watch this putrid nonsense every year. In - anyone who has a football brain, that will help.

Ditto X 10000 times!! The whole club players coaches/selectors....recruiters....are accountable for this inconsistent rubbish. This club continually rubs dog poo in the faces of its supporters and the wider competition.

This inconsistency is beyond a damn joke! Fed up with this crap every year, fed up with same culprits unable to play consistent football. Once again our senior guys who are supposed to lead and calm things down are the same ones stuffing it up!! 7 unanswered goals is a disgrace. Well done to PR and his team today, they took some risks and played attacking football. Credit where credit due, they played hard good footy. Definitely not the demons of old, I can see a future with our young draftees. Just need to keep topping up with more mids.

Yes this is much bigger than Australia and especially the AFL. The AFL CEO should be thinking global on this issue...instead he is behaving like he is in charge of the country under 15 teams...FFS Gill...stop cheerleading and start leading like a CEO

AFL heartland in Victoria except for Hawthorn and Geelong....is in a dark place. I was always against the GWS and now the AFL can hang their hats on screwing football in its heartland. I sit back and watch sides like West Coke, Fremantle, Sydney Port Adelaide and now GWS dominate the AFL and wipe their backsides with some of the heartland clubs such as the Dees. The fault lies with Victorian clubs and the AFL combined....heartland supporters get excited with the occasional win these days in comparison with their interstate colleagues who share finals chocolates on a regular basis. What a cluster [censored] the AFL has created with GWS

Yeah other than our new breed such as Viney and the newer ones, the inconsistency of our mature players is a farce. I am positive we will breed our way out of this but in the meantime we have to keep watching shyte from the usual suspects.

If the next month for this club is poor onfield - then hold on for the ride because the media will come for Roos and the club. The team has to perform much better over the next few weeks.

Hallelujah to that! There is so much smoke and mirrors all over the planet....I hope the next generation actually does more with transparency than the current one who just gives it lip service. Ballarat story is appalling!!

Let me say I am a big fan of PR and he is building the list as best he can. As a Paid up long term member I am well aware of our deficiencies with the list, I am also aware that our young draftees are still developing, however.... PR - give us supporters of this club a bit of respect, we don't need to hear our list are tired after round 7, this list is ranked 9th youngest not 18th. All clubs have injuries and we are not in the worst position on that. Please stop telling us that some players who have been around on our list for years may still be mentally fragile! It is patently obvious to most of us who these players are, and hopefully their all gone as soon as possible. I am sick of hearing about the black past of this club and it's woes. All I want as a supporter and watcher of games is to see effort, skill and competitive football. I don't want to hear mamby pamby pressers after each game we lose, As a supporter I want a coach who is a robust defender of his game plan and direction and stares everyone down with confidence. Lately it's starting to appear quite fluffy and political when Roos speaks. I'm over excuses and political speak. The next month will be the barometer of where this list is going and supporters want to see a brand worth attending games to watch.

Tangled - you make some valid points about the bigger picture etc..and wow oh wow us Dees supporters have been looking at that bigger picture for a lifetime and I am still waiting for it to come to life. I have no doubt the club is going in the right direction, however I watched that putrid game on the weekend and it makes me vomit to watch experienced AFL players who are supposed to set examples just give up drop their heads and show stuff all effort. I can name 6-10 players on our list who are being gifted games and they are on big money.....this is garbage and they need to be given a size 10 up their collective rear ends.

The MFC has assembled a coaching and development group as good as any going around in the AFL. The problem continues to be obvious....inferior players on the list who get games because our list has no depth and is basically loaded up with B grade AFL players. I challenge any coach in the AFL to do better with this inferior list. I think our latest recruiting has been good with the new guys, but we still have about 10 players who are being gifted AFL money and games.

So how was the foundation heroes night after such a putrid performance ?

This whole debate peeves me off when we are still talking about Gawn, Spencer Fitzpatrick etc......FFS they have all been in the system for years on our list and still show sweet FA...why are they still on our damn list?

Garland has been serviceable over the years, however he is mentally spent and all these types on our list are not helping the future of this club.

Well said! This is the reality of the situation. I've said it before and it is now more important than ever the MFC is brought to account for dismal performances. I am a Peter Jackson fan, however this is where you earn your paycheck Peter. Pull together whatever resources you can muster in the football world and get 3 or 4 A grade players onto our list for 2016. Slash cut and burn those players on our list who are obvious duds to all in sundry and do it fast. Peter talks about hope.....there is no hope without recruiting A grade players to this club, because our list is in a shocking state.
