If Butters played for us we win tonight even with a mostly disfunctional forward line We need skilled mids that can hit targets and be creative with the ball in hand - right now we don’t have any

Another very stark example as to why we desperately need to get into this draft and find some quality mids that can actually dispose effectively The contrast between Butters and JHF and what we dished up skills wise was light years apart Endeavour great but skills are deplorable

Fair points but there isn’t a problem for finding him a list spot as I expect a number of older players to be taken out of the list at seasons end - if we don’t see a pretty big refresh of this list we are in for an extended period of mediocrity imo He has not shown much that is true - but he is a very young tall and we all know they take time - he has shown enough imo to warrant at least another season to deliver something He may show more at training that the FD sees as potential - as usual I trust their judgement to make the right calls on players - having said that my faith has been sorely tested recently with some highly questionable trade decisions

I like the fact we all have different opinions and challenge things - but it just gets a little tedious tbh when someone continues to endlessly and frankly pointlessly keep posting the same thing. Good for you that you think he is ready - personally I don't but acknowledge that when the season is 100% dead in terms of finals then maybe he is given a taste. That way he can realize first-hand just how much work he has to do to play football in the AFL I'm not being critical of the young man and genuinely hope he has a great career but having watched him in a lot of Casey games he is still a long way off - just my opinion!

Just curious to know if you will bag him just like you are bagging Petty when Matthew finally gets a chance and gets 2 possessions and zero goals? Not saying that will definitely happen but there's a fair chance and I'd hope that you then acknowledge that he has a long way to go, and your constant nauseating carry on for him to be selected was a bit premature

Cannot see them beating swans in Sydney or Brisbane in Melb Both have to keep winning to ensure home final - big big incentive Granted Sydney have a hole to climb out of atm but they are too good not to bounce back at home imo

Actually I know inaccuracies have cost us games before but Fritta, JVR and Dan Turner all have pretty good goal kicking routines

This game is likely to be a dead rubber - strange that the AFL would allocate prime time for that !
