I cant help but think that if this was a Collingwood or big club player the decision would have been different, whether it be because of Eddies power or the fact that the ALF are frightened of the repercussions. No coincidence the only player who has been let off at appeal is Nick Maxwell.

Im not surprised there is no injured players. You actually have to gut run or make physical contact with opposition before you can get an injury....

It was actually not on Before the Game which is the comedy show, he was on the program after the match which discusses the weekends footy results in a serious format. Anyone who saw it would say that he handled it very poorly and it was a perfect chance for our captain to give the members something other than cliches and giggles. I heard Stynes on the radio yesterday and it was the first time I've been disappointed in him. I didn't expect him to flat out say Bailey will go, but he rehashed all the cliches and "baileyisms". It's gotten to the point that I can't bare to listen to people from our club anymore as I'm sick of all talk no action on field.

You must have misunderstood me, I'm saying exactly what you're saying. Good at VFL level but too many deficiencies to make it at Afl level. I agree with a poster above, our list had a strange balance, seems like we have too many talls now and not enough midfield depth. All the players who have earned a call up today are forwards. Bate, petterd, Howe Maric. Jetta won't make it.

Howe has impressed with his marking and pace. Blease is miles off AFL, shown nothing. So hard to judge Bate and Newton at this level. You can still see the same deficiencies but they are a class above VFL.

Evans and Nicholson are guns, get em on the senior list. More grunt and workrate than our midfield combined

Spot on! we genuinely underperformed in 2008 and 2009 trust me. Malthouse would have made our sides competetive. It was all excuses and the mentality was set. I will donate to a new coach fund if thats what it takes.
